13:00 Master Milliner

This isn’t the strongest of races, with in-form contenders in the minority. MASTER MILLINER is going the right way, however, and if he handles the fast conditions he’s the one to beat after a break. Gavlar, a C&D winner, needs to bounce back from a couple of poor efforts but Oisin Murphy is an encouraging booking and he could pose the main threat.

13:30 Nebulosa

Hat-trick seeker Billy Mill commands respect but a promising alternative is NEBULOSA, who looks a useful prospect for handicaps this season. Farasi Lane (third choice) and It’s A Love Thing are open to further progress.

14:05 Amniarix

This interesting Listed event may go to AMNIARIX, who has improvement to find with one or two of these but has progressed well and deserves this step up in grade. Maamora, who put up her best effort last August after a six-month break, could be the main danger, but the smart 6yo Agincourt and the unexposed 3yo Lilac Road are others to consider.

14:35 King’s Knight (NAP)

With the exception of one run on heavy ground, KING’S KNIGHT (nap) has progressed steadily, and he’s taken to record back-to-back successes, with Marco Ghiani’s 3lb claim the icing on the cake. Azano is the type with which David O’Meara does so well and may provide the sternest resistance, with Kimifive, who won this race in 2019, also likely to be thereabouts.

15:10 Stone Of Destiny

It’s possible to construct a case for all five of these, and tactics could be crucial, with Desert Safari particularly dangerous if getting an easy lead. Lihou is admirably consistent and should be thereabouts once more but preference is for STONE OF DESTINY, who didn’t get the rub of the green at Newmarket first time out. Mountain Peak has optimum conditions and should go well if fit after an absence.

15:45 Rebel Territory

Most of these lightly raced types are open to improvement and the market may prove informative. Narrow preference is for Amanda Perrett’s REBEL TERRITORY, who shaped well behind two useful prospects at Lingfield. Second choice is the filly Dawndiva, who still holds a Coronation Stakes entry. Ensyaaby and General Lee are among several others to consider in a race that should throw up quite a few future winners.

16:20 Eagle One

This may be just a 0-70, but there are several contenders with useful pedigrees who could improve for the switch to handicaps or a step up in trip. Rushmore is one who should be better over 1m2f than shorter, and he could be ready to strike after meeting trouble at Windsor last time. Athers, Codebook and Wink Of An Eye could all progress in their second seasons too, but the nod goes to EAGLE ONE, who shaped promisingly when last seen in January and is bred to excel over middle distances.
