We’re approaching the final fence of the Aintree Grand National Festival 2021 and who better to have on board than the great Ruby Walsh? The legend leads the pack once again and he’s got a barrage of top tips in his armoury.
That armoury includes a couple of pointers for the big one – The 2021 Grand National at 17:15. Ruby’s got you covered for all the big races at Aintree on Saturday and we’ve arranged his best bets into a handy cheat sheet to help you get your nose in front.
We’ll let Ruby explain his selections to help you land some more winners this week. Here’s some of his prize picks for the final day and, of course, the Grand National.
Let’s not mess about here, you want to hear Ruby’s thoughts on the year’s biggest race. Well, he’s summoned up two tips, one at a bigger price and one of the favourites, to give you a run for your money. “I wouldn’t put anybody off CLASS CONTI each-way,” Ruby says. “BURROWS SAINT has a great chance, and when I rode him in the 2019 Irish Grand National I thought he had Aintree written all over him.”
We missed out on the big Tyme Hill vs Paisley Park clash at Cheltenham but we’re all systems go at Aintree and Ruby’s plumping for the former. He explains: “I was in the THYME HILL camp prior to him missing Cheltenham, as I thought he could turn around the form on Paisley Park.”
In the second race of the day it’s a a battle between My Drogo and Ballyadam at the top of the market as two of Appreciate It’s rivals face off without him. Ruby’s verdict? “I’m landing on BALLYADAM here,” He says, “He’s been running in to Appreciate It on his last few starts, and they’ve come to Aintree to avoid him at Punchestown.”
Behold, it’s Ruby’s cheat sheet for Day 3 of the Aintree Grand National Festival!
