13:15 at Newbury – West Approach

I don’t have the strongest opinion on this race so I’ll hope they go strong, really strong, which will benefit West Approach. He’ll be dependent on them going really fast and getting tired so he’s going at tired horses rather than horses with a bit of energy left. It probably sounds a bit silly but if he comes at tired horses he could win. I hope Adam Wedge produces him half way up the run in, that’s the way I’d be riding him. This is a sentimental vote, folks, for West Approach.

13:30 at Kelso – My Drogo

I think My Drogo is the most likely winner. He beat Llandinabo Lad and Soaring Glory at Ascot in December. I like My Drogo to win here.

13:50 at Newbury – Another Crick

I’m going to go for Another Crick for trainer Noel Williams and jockey Paddy Brennan. He’ll have 10st on his back with a rating of 133. The only worry I’m going to give against myself for this race is that I do believe that Paul Nicholls has a rather good record in this race and he runs the fav Grand Sancy and Capeland. So, Paul Nicholls has a good record here, but it’s Another Crick for me.

14:05 at Kelso – War Lord

I’m going to go for one of the younger horses in the field at a price, No.3 War Lord, for Tom Scudamore and Colin Tizzard. The yard have been a bit hit-and-miss, there’s no doubt about that. I’ll excuse him his last run at Ascot. Prior to that he finished 3rd at Haydock behind Albert’s Back. He beat Umbrigado and was 2nd at Haydock to Arrivederci. I’m going to go for War Lord.

14:20 at Doncaster – Go Millie Go

The top-rated filly in this race is Raynas World who hasn’t raced anything further and 2m4f and that was a poor effort at Sandown on her last start. If you’re going to go for one further down the ratings who has a little bit to prove it’s probably Go Millie Go. The fact that she has won over 2m6f at Stratford and 2m7f at Exeter shows there’s no doubt about her stamina. So, I’m going to go for Go Millie Go.

14:40 at Kelso – Aso

I’m going to go for the favourite, Aso. I know he finished behind Two For Gold at Warwick on the last start over 2 1/2m but the swing in the weights is 9lbs. That’s a huge swing back around. Aso’s a 150-rated horse. I think he’ll turn the form on Two For Gold.

14:55 at Doncaster – Zoffee

I’m going to go for the five-year-old Zoffee who was 4th at Newbury on his last start. Prior to that he beat Dorking Boy at Exeter over 2m1f. He likes to get on with things, Zoffee, he’ll do me around Doncaster.

15:15 at Kelso – Voix du Reve

I’m going to go for one at a price and that’s Voix du Reve. I thought he ran really well at Musselburgh behind Christoper Wood. He made a mistake at the last which didn’t help his case. Oakley Brown claims 7lbs off his back for trainer Iain Jardine. If you’re a The Shunter fan I certainly wouldn’t put you off. I think Emmet Mullins has his eye on victory here and hopefully going to the Cheltenham Festival for a bonus, but I’m going for Voix du Reve.

15:30 at Doncaster – Canelo

Canelo was only 12 3/4 lengths behind Takingsrisks, Aye Right and Cap Du Nord and I think that race at Doncaster was a much stronger race back in January than here. I think Caleno is the one.
