NEW TO PADDY POWER
19:17 Coom Leo (NB)
Coom Leo is just coming to the boil at the right time and the middle seed has made all the difference to him. Kameko looks the biggest danger and if he can hold him he should gets his head in front. Coom Leo is my second-best bet of the night.
19:35 Queen Dolly
Droopys Aoife should lean in to the left and give plenty of room to the two outside runners, Queen Dolly and Luna Rocket. Queen Dolly ran a really good heat last week but rarely backs it up so I’m happy to take her on with Luna Rocket in Trap 6. The box isn’t a problem and could be the one to beat.
20:34 – Shelone Milo
A very competitive heat where I’m tempted by Shelone Milo in Trap 5. I’ll keep one eye on Angry Tornado to chase him home.
21:09 – Ballymac Fairone
The feature event of the night is the English Derby and after six weeks of qualifying we are down to the finale. Four Irish and two English dogs go head-to-head and the key to the Final is who will get it right on the night. We have last year’s champion, Deerjet Sydney, still in the mix.
For me, Ballymac Fairone fits the bill. He got it right last weekend in the semi finals and was a very impressive winner. He’s the fastest runner in the field and Liam Dowling’s other dog, Ballymac Wild can run on for the forecast.
21:27 – Blastoff Mason
The Sprint Final over 270m could be at the mercy of Blastoff Mason as the best sprinter in the field, Bockons Jon Jo, has a tough draw to overcome in box four. Blastoff Mason has a good draw in box 2 and could be a decent price to see off his rivals.
21:43 – Kishlaw Shakira (NAP)
The Challenge Cup final over 712m will take some getting but I’m sweet on the chance of Kishlaw Shakira in Trap 3. I’m going to make her my nap selection of the night. She has improved bundles since going over the six bends and clocked a track record in the heats last weekend. Hopefully she saves the best for last.
