Lando Norris stormed to victory in last weekend’s Dutch Grand Prix to set up a thrilling second half of the 2024 Formula 1 season and the latest stop on the calendar takes us to the Temple of Speed, Monza.
Our tipster Alex Harris has taken a look at Paddy Power’s Italian Grand Prix betting and picked out a few fancies.

The takeaway from Zandvoort is that McLaren are quite a way clear of the field and Lando Norris has all the momentum.
Despite the team struggling at Monza in the last two seasons, the rapid MCL38 should be more suited to track – which is all about pure straight-line speed – than its predecessors.
McLaren team-mate Oscar Piastri and championship leader Max Verstappen will provide a stiff challenge in qualifying, but Norris has grabbed pole at three of the last six Grands Prix and can take the top spot once again.
The Brit has struggled off the line, although the Dutch Grand Prix proved that he has the pace to reel in Verstappen should he fail to make a quick start.
Points Finish – Nico Hülkenberg
A contender for driver of the season, Nico Hülkenberg finished one place outside the points for the sixth time in 2024 at last weekend’s Dutch Grand Prix to suggest that he will continue to be in the mix for top-10 finishes for the rest of the year.
I’d expect Monza to play to Haas’ strengths – pace on the straights – and this looks like one of the best opportunities for the team to bag points before the curtain comes down on the campaign.
Fastest Lap – Sergio Perez
The way the season is trending suggests Red Bull need a miracle to deny McLaren a first constructors’ championship in 26 years – and Sergio Perez‘s drop off in performance is one of the reasons the current title holders are the underdogs.
The Mexican has not finished on the podium since the fifth round in China and could be put to use by the team to grab the Fastest Lap at the end if he is nowhere near the big points, a task he has executed over the years.
