F1 Dutch Grand Prix start time for race, qualifying and practice

Can anyone spoil Max Verstappen's party?

2023 Dutch GP

Summer might be coming to an end, but don’t worry, because Formula 1 is back!

After a month-long break, the most exhilarating sport in the world makes its return this weekend with the 2024 Dutch Grand Prix. Max Verstappen returns to home turf having won seven of the first 14 races, but Red Bull’s dominance appears to be over after failing to take the chequered flag in the last four.

A wall of orange will be out in force to support the Dutchman, who has won all three of his home races since F1 made its return to the Netherlands in 2021.

He is fancied to succeed again, but several other teams on the grid will provide tough competition, with Mercedes having won three of the last four Grands Prix and McLaren the other.

Verstappen still holds a 78-point gap to second-placed Lando Norris in the drivers’ championship, but he’s vulnerable with 10 races still to come.

Lewis Hamilton, Charles Leclerc, Oscar Piastri and Carlos Sainz also have over 150 points so will be battling to get closer this weekend.

As for the constructors, Red Bull continue to lead McLaren, although the team championship is likely to go down to the wire.
