When is a winner not a winner? Well, when it comes to the 2024 Belgian Grand Prix at Paddy Power, erm, never!
After original race winner George Russell was disqualified for the race at Spa on Sunday, and team-mate Lewis Hamilton subsequently bumped up from second to top spot, we’ve paid out on BOTH to win the race.
You know it makes sense.
Russell got to spray the champagne and lord it up on the podium after his surprise win, but the fun didn’t last long as his car came in under the minimum weight restriction after the race.
And despite being officially turfed out of the grand prix, the right thing to do was to pay out on the ‘victory’ for those of you who backed the Brit to get the job done.
🚨 JUSTICE PAY OUT 🚨
🏎️ Despite the disqualification, we’re paying out on BOTH George Russell and Lewis Hamilton as winners of the F1 Belgian Grand Prix.
