Celebrate good times, come on! Euro 2024 is into the final round of group games and Paddy’s pal Mark Lawrenson’s champing at the bit to get stuck into the crunch clashes in Germany.
Instead of kicking back and getting ready for the new club season he’s answered the international call and will be delivering his Euro 2024 predictions every bloomin’ day of the tournament right here on Paddy Power News.
Sunday sees sees Group A reach it’s conclusion with Scotland and Hungary battling it out for third place and a chance at a spot in the knockout rounds. Elsewhere Switzerland and Germany can kick back and enjoy the fruits of their labour with the hosts qualified and the Swiss all-but there.
It’s looking like another belting day so here’s how Lawro thinks it’s all going to go down with his crafty calls added in to a dishy double for good measure. Take it away, Lawro.

This is a massive game, Scotland v Hungary. If Scotland win they’ve got a good chance of going through but that goal difference might hamper them so they really need a convincing win.
The problem is that Hungary can still qualify as well so this will be a tough one. They’re not great when the pressure is on, Scotland, so I can see a 1-1 draw that will put both out.
This Switzerland v Germany game is a bit of a dead rubber with both through. I wonder if they’ll make changes but Switzerland were happy with that draw against the Scots last time and they’re solid enough.
Germany have looked really powerful though, fast and incisive in attack. Switzerland will put up a fight, they always do, but Germany are on a roll and I fancy them to win 2-1.
