I thought Ukraine were woeful against England. Jordan Henderson is an excellent player but if you’re giving free headers to him at corners, you’re in trouble. There was a reason he hadn’t scored for England before that!
Ukraine were really weak opposition and they capitulated quite a bit. I’d actually put this Denmark team on a similar level to Germany. It might sound a bit much but if you look at the tournament, Denmark have dominated teams.
They’re the second-highest scoring team in the tournament, they’ve had the second-most shots on target of any team and none of their games have gone to extra time. They haven’t needed it.
I think the market is underwriting Denmark a bit. I can see England coming through this game but it’ll be close. Denmark to Qualify seems too big of a price not to back.
Another small factor is if this game goes to penalties, I think Kasper Schmeichel has a big edge on Jordan Pickford if it went there. I’m fairly confident in backing Denmark to Qualify.
