I dropped in at the West Ham training ground last week and spoke to Graham Potter. You really do get a sense that he’s the right man in the right job at the ideal time. They have some fantastic young players coming through – there’s real excitement around the club right now – and that’s the first time in many years I can say that.
Potter is a fantastic coach and the perfect manager to start to blood these young players into the first team.
Looking at this game, it’s tricky, because I’m looking at Newcastle with that cup final around the corner…how do they approach this? Anthony Gordon is suspended and they’ve suffered back-to-back losses against Brighton and Liverpool.
I can see goals in the game, so I’m going for Alexander Isak to score, particularly on the back of that rumoured interest from PSG. I’m also going for both teams to score in a draw as a result pick.
For West Ham, Jarrod Bowen is the one I’d back to score or assist and he’s already got seven goals and four assists this season.
