Premier League Tips: Joe Cole’s 6/1 & 58/1 Bet Builders for Saturday

Joe Cole fancies the Gunners and Palace to take the points in Saturday's televised Premier League clashes.

The Premier League returns this weekend after a break for the FA Cup.

On the tellybox, we’ve got relegation-threatened Leicester hosting Arsenal, who’ll be gunning to close the gap on league leaders Liverpool. In the late kickoff, Crystal Palace, who have won five of their last six fixtures welcome Everton to Selhurst Park.

Paddy Power ambassador Joe Cole joined us during the week to give us his value picks for these two games.

He’s got three player picks in here, too, which are all covered by Paddy’s Super Sub offer, meaning if a player is substituted, the pick carries over to his replacement. Let’s get his tips.

Saturday’s Premier League Bet Builder tips

12:30pm: Leicester v Arsenal
Arsenal -1
Mads Hermansen to make 4 or more saves
Martin Odegaard to score or assist
Both teams to score, no

5:30pm: Crystal Palace v Everton
Crystal Palace -2
Ismaila Sarr to score or assist
Will Hughes to be shown a card

12:30pm: Leicester v Arsenal

TV: TNT Sports

I’m doing this game for TV. Which really messes me up because I can’t stop off at service stations on the way home because I’d be bumping into Arsenal fans, who enjoy giving me a load of stick, with me being a North London boy, but I think they’ll win the game here.

I think it’ll be comfortable for them, too.

Leicester have been a bit unlucky lately, but they’ve had no clean sheet over their last 20 games. Looking at the way they defend, I can’t see Arsenal not scoring. I reckon they’ll win by a few, so Arsenal -1 looks like a good bet.

The Gunners have won all of the last six meetings between them.

The thing with Arsenal that you have to ask is, where do they go next? Gabriel Martinelli has been added to the injury list, so there’s an opportunity for Raheem Sterling and Ethan Nwaneri, who I think is a wonderful player.

Mads Hermansen to make 4 or more saves looks like a good shout, too. Obviously, Leciester are struggling down there at the bottom of the table, he’s averaging 4.12 saves per game, which is ranked the third highest in the league, and he’ll certainly be tested here.

Martin Odegaard to score or assist, he needs to step up now, and, really, I can’t see Leicester even scoring, so let’s add both teams to score, no, as well.

5:30pm: Crystal Palace v Everton

TV: Sky Sports Main Event/Premier League

I had high hopes for Crystal Palace at the start of the season. They’ve let me down, but they’re pulling back up the league now. I got it wrong in that I underestimated how much of a loss Michael Olise was going to be and the ramifications of that transfer. But, I still think there’s a decent team in there.

Jean-Philippe Mateta, obviously, he’s playing well again now, and they’ve kept four clean sheets over the last five fixtures. That’s impressive; that’s the kind of form from the team we saw at the back end of last season. Their last four wins have all been by two to nil, all of which were away from home, too.

They need to get their Selhurst Park form back on track.

Regarding Everton, this is a game where you have to think that the emotion of that 2-2 draw at home with Liverpool on Wednesday night, will mean that we’ll see a hangover here for them. Because they had that release of that win, the joy, the relief, and the pride.

But, I’m going for a convincing home win for Palace, I think they’ll win 3-0. People will start thinking I’m a Crystal Palace fan.

I like the look of Ismaila Sarr to score or assist as well. He’s been creating the most big chances for Palace this season, which is impressive considering that you also have Eberechi Eze on the pitch.

Will Hughes is on eight bookings already this season, which is a lot so I’d back him to be shown a card.
