The Premier League action this weekend gets underway with four matches at 3pm on Saturday. If none of the games look that big on paper, remember that football is played on grass.
But also bear in mind that we’ve got the two favourites to win the title in action as well as a match between two of the bottom three clubs. And if that isn’t enough, we’ve got Ruud van Nistelrooy’s first away game with Leicester. What more could you possibly want?
PP tipster Andrew Beasley has a selection for all four matches, which you can combine into an accumulator.

Arsenal v Everton – Arsenal to win to nil
Our four-way path to glory begins at Arsenal, with the Gunners hosting Everton in a set piece derby. The underlying expected goal numbers for 2024/25 suggest that the home side should not be quite such a short price for a victory, but that they should still be very much odds-on to win.
That’s the challenge facing Sean Dyche. Even getting a goal out of the visitors will be hard work, never mind a positive result. While the Blues have scored in four of their last five matches at the Emirates, Arsenal don’t give up many chances at home and Everton haven’t looked like scoring too often anywhere of late.
With Mikel Arteta’s boys having already beaten Manchester United, Nottingham Forest and Wolves without conceding on their own patch this season, the same fate looks incredibly likely for Everton. Arsenal win to nil, for starters.
Liverpool v Fulham – Liverpool to win & both teams to score
There’s a greater chance that both teams will score at Anfield, where Liverpool will face Fulham. These teams met four times in 2023/24 thanks to two games in the League Cup, with not a zero to be seen on any of the score sheets.
Never was this more apparent than in the Premier League game at Liverpool 12 months ago. The Reds led twice in the first half but fell behind with only 10 minutes to go. Goals from irregular scorers Wataru Endo and Trent Alexander-Arnold rescued a 4-3 win.
This should be more sedate than that match, with Arne Slot’s side far more controlling than Jurgen Klopp’s rollercoaster gang of lads (even though they are exactly the same players). Fulham have scored in every league match since the first one of the campaign, so we’ll take Liverpool to win and both teams scoring.
Newcastle v Leicester – Over 4.5 cards
From the northwest to the northeast. After four games this season, Newcastle were third in the Premier League table with 10 points. They’ve taken the same tally from their 11 matches since, arriving at this fixture winless in four.
They will have to battle hard to beat a Leicester side who have sprung into life under van Nistelrooy, taking four points from West Ham and Brighton at the King Power. There are likely to be bookings galore here.
Referee Tom Brammall isn’t shy of showing a yellow card or two. He has flashed 4.9 per Premier League match since the start of 2023/24.
Newcastle’s games this term have averaged 5.4, with at least six in all but two of their home league matches. As Leicester’s games have been quieter, let’s not go mad, but we should be safe for Over 4.5 Cards.
Wolves v Ipswich – 1st Half, over 1.5 goals
We finish at Molineux for arguably the biggest game of the four. Wolves’ manager Gary O’Neil survived defeat in an El Sackio clash at West Ham on Monday but would a home loss to Ipswich break the patience of the club’s owners?
Logically, this should be a tight, tense affair, with defeat avoided at all costs. But neither of these teams can defend, with Wolves having conceded the most goals in the division. The Tractor Boys are sixth in those standings, though importantly third for away games.
The form book suggests this will get off to chaotic start. The previous meeting of these teams, last year, was 2-2 by the 39th minute.
This could be similar with Wolves (third) and Ipswich (sixth) among the Premier League teams with the most goals in their matches before the break this season. Round off your accumulator with Over 1.5 first-half goals.
