Celebrate good times, come on! Euro 2024 is into the second round of games and Paddy’s pal Mark Lawrenson’s still up on cloud nine as the best in the continent continue to go at it.
Instead of kicking back and getting ready for the new club season he’s answered the international call and will be delivering his Euro 2024 predictions every bloomin’ day of the tournament right here on Paddy Power News.
Friday sees some tasty tussles with France in action in the late game as well as the impressive Austria having another chance to get off the mark. Slovakia v Ukraine gets the ball rolling before Poland v Austria and Netherlands v France last thing.
It’s looking like another belting day so here’s how Lawro thinks it’s all going to go down with his crafty calls added in to a tasty treble for good measure. Take it away, Lawro.

Ukraine got thumped by Romania which was a surprise. I thought they were a bit better than that and Slovakia had that amazing win against Belgium but they did ride their luck.
As for Slovakia v Ukraine the cat’s already amongst the pigeons so I think a 2-1 win for Ukraine will just blow that group wide open. They’ve got to bounce back quickly otherwise they’re going home.
Austria were good against France, I loved the way they played but obviously the French just nicked it. It’s Poland v Austria here and the Poles lost narrowly to The Netherlands so they’re in need of the points. I don’t think they can do it and I’m backing Austria to Win 2-0. I like the look of them.
It’s another great game on Friday night with the Netherlands v France. Wow, it’s a biggie, and it’s one you’d expect to see later on in the tournament. But I’ll go slap-bang down the middle and side with the 1-1 Draw.
They’ll both be on four points and both pretty much through which I think they’ll be happy with. France are the better team but the Dutch look to have something about them in all fairness.
