It all comes down to this in the 2023/24 Premier League season as everyone gears up for the final day at 4pm on Sunday.

We’ve got four games on the box as the title-chasing Arsenal host Everton hoping that Manchester City slip up against David Moyes’ West Ham in his final match at the club.

It’s all done bar the shouting at the bottom so attention turns to the European race on the TV with Chelsea v Bournemouth getting an airing alongside Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool swansong which is sure to be an emotional occasion at Anfield.

So, with so much action to get stuck in to, it’s only right that we bring in our resident tipster and Premier League predicting guru, Mark Lawrenson who’s champing at the bit to two-foot the final match day of a rollercoaster 2023/24 season.

Arsenal v Everton

TV: TNT Sports 1 and TNT Sports Ultimate

Everton have had a good season when you consider the points deduction. They’ve gone clear of the drop zone so they’ll be relaxed. I know Sean Dyche has said they’ll give it everything they’ve got but you only need two or three thinking, ‘It’s the last game of the season, I’m looking forward to my holidays’. I’m going for Arsenal to win comfortably. Arsenal 3-0 Everton.

Brentford v Newcastle

Brentford and Newcastle have both had slightly disappointing seasons. Brentford are a better team than the league table shows but that’s because of injuries and unavailability of key players. Newcastle have had a bit of that but I think they’ll win as they’ve still got something on the line. Brentford 1-2 Newcastle.

Brighton v Manchester United

Brighton have been disappointing but they’ll want to finish on a good note at home. I’m going to go for Brighton to do just that.  Brighton 2-1 Manchester United.

Burnley v Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest are not going to go down and they didn’t deserve to be relegated anyway. I fancy them to win this. Because a lot of these games don’t have much riding on them, they’ll be good, open affairs. I think there will be loads of goals on the final day. Burnley 0-2 Nottingham Forest.

Chelsea v Bournemouth

TV: Sky Sports Arena and Sky Sports Football

Bournemouth have had a really good season overall but as Chelsea are at home I’m backing them. It looks at long last that they’ve finally identified their best team. Chelsea 2-1 Bournemouth.

Crystal Palace v Aston Villa

Aston Villa enjoyed qualifying for the Champions League and that’s fully deserved. Crystal Palace have been outstanding and it’s no surprise that they have been since the two lads Ebere Eze and Michael Olise have been playing together. They haven’t played many together but this should be a good, open game. Crystal Palace 2-2 Aston Villa.

Liverpool v Wolves

TV: Sky Sports Premier League

It will be emotional, you can’t buy any handkerchiefs around Anfield. They’re all sold out apparently! Wolves have been disappointing in the last few weeks so I’ll go for a comfortable home win. Liverpool 3-1 Wolves.

Luton v Fulham

Fulham got beat at home last time by Manchester City which was to be expected. This might be a drab draw. Luton 1-1 Fulham.

Manchester City v West Ham

TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Ultra HDR

I can only see this going one way and that’s Manchester City winning. I can’t see them getting to this position and then throwing it away, that’s just not them, is it? Manchester City 3-0 West Ham.

Sheffield United v Tottenham

Tottenham have had really difficult games recently with Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City. That’s just what you want at the end of the season when you’re going for things! They’ll win this, though. Sheffield United 0-2 Tottenham.
