It’s business time in the 2023/24 Premier League season as most teams now have just two games left to play. One of the teams with most on the line is Manchester City and they get us underway at Fulham at 12.30pm on Saturday.

There’s a bevy of 3pm games before Nottingham Forest host Chelsea in the late game, a match which could have huge ramifications on the relegation and European pictures.

We’ve just the one Premier League game on Sunday as Manchester United face the potential of another thrashing at the title-chasing Arsenal and it’s Aston Villa v Liverpool closing the show on Monday Night Football at 8pm.

So, with so much action to get stuck in to, it’s only right that we bring in our resident tipster and Premier League predicting guru, Mark Lawrenson who’s champing at the bit to two-foot game week 36 on the calendar.

Saturday 12.30pm: Fulham v Manchester City

TV: TNT Sports 1 and TNT Sports Ultimate

Fulham drew 0-0 with Brentford last weekend and apparently nothing happened but a fair bit went on in Manchester City’s game. You always feel like you’re hemmed in a little bit at Craven Cottage but, even so, I fancy a big City win. They’re on it, aren’t they? Fulham 0-3 Manchester City.

Saturday 3pm: Bournemouth v Brentford

Bournemouth were spanked by Arsenal and I think they’re well and truly on the beach now. I’m going to go for Brentford to win this one. Bournemouth 0-2 Brentford.

Saturday 3pm: Everton v Sheffield United

I think this will be a home win, they’re just going well at the moment, Everton. Sheffield United are down and you just can’t give them a hope in any game. Everton 2-1 Sheffield United.

Saturday 3pm: Newcastle v Brighton

Brighton actually won last weekend which is the first time since Roberto De Zerbi moaned at the owner. However, they’re away at Newcastle who are going well so I think their joy might be short lived. Newcastle 2-1 Brighton.

Saturday 3pm: Tottenham v Burnley

Tottenham will beat Burnley easily. Spurs kept the ball great against Liverpool but they never went anywhere until Richarlison came on and they thought, ‘F this, let’s go and have a bash’. They looked completely different and I’m a fan of the manager but I just didn’t get it. Tottenham 3-0 Burnley.

Saturday 3pm: West Ham v Luton

You’d fancy West Ham to win this. David Moyes should get a good reception. I speak to him quite regularly and he’s been really chilled about the whole thing. West Ham 2-0 Luton.

Saturday 3pm: Wolves v Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace were really good on Monday night. Michael Olise and Ebere Eze carved Manchester United to pieces. Mind you, they didn’t help themselves, United. Wolves aren’t in great form but I’ll go for a draw. Wolves 1-1 Crystal Palace.

Saturday 5.30pm: Nottingham Forest v Chelsea

TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League

Anything can happen with Chelsea, it’s the toss of a coin. Nottingham Forest won last week and looked more like it. They’re good at home in general so I’m going to have Forest to Win this. Nottingham Forest 2-1 Chelsea.

Sunday 4.30pm: Manchester United v Arsenal

TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League

I don’t know who’s going to play at the back for Manchester United or whether they’ve got someone coming back to fitness, but they were just a mess against Palace. What I couldn’t understand was, if you’ve got no centre backs you’ve just got to play defensively and hope your three lads up front can nick a goal but there was none of that they were just wide open.

As poor as Casemiro was I felt a bit sorry for him because he got massive blame and everybody knows he can’t run! That’s football, but I’ll got for a comfortable Arsenal away win – hopefully! Manchester United 0-3 Arsenal.

Monday 8pm: Aston Villa v Liverpool

TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League

Aston Villa have stumbled a little bit and they’re so near yet so far with the Champions League qualification. Liverpool are still scoring but they can concede. I’ll go for them to keep a clean sheet in this one though, they’re due one. Aston Villa 0-2 Liverpool.
