It’s business time in the 2023/24 Premier League season as we hurtle downhill at full speed towards the climax of the campaign. Everton are safe but Luton are still fighting away and they host the Toffees on Friday night this weekend to get us under way.

Arsenal’s title charge continues at The Emirates with Bournemouth heading to town at 12.30pm on Saturday. Later in the day the Gunners’ main rivals Manchester City are at home to Wolves at 5.30pm with both games on the box.

On Sunday it’s the out-of-form Brighton taking on Aston Villa at 2pm before the misfiring duo of Liverpool and Tottenham do battle at 4.30pm. The fun doesn’t stop there though and there’s another banana skin for Manchester United at Crystal Palace on Monday at 8pm.

So, with so much action to get stuck in to, it’s only right that we bring in our resident tipster and Premier League predicting guru, Mark Lawrenson who’s champing at the bit to two-foot game week 36 on the calendar.

Friday 8pm: Luton v Everton

TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League

This is huge for Luton with them being so close to Nottingham Forest in the relegation battle. Everton have just been really, really good. It’s as though they need the world against them and all of a sudden the start playing. They got battered 6-0at Chelsea and have won every game since. Luton need something but I think it will just be a draw and I think the ball might be in the air a fair bit. Luton 1-1 Everton.

Saturday 12.30pm: Arsenal v Bournemouth

TV: TNT Sports 1 and TNT Sports Ultimate

I’ll go for a big Arsenal win, they can’t seem to do anything wrong at the moment. I know it was 3-2 in the end at Tottenham but I think everybody’s back and fit. Thomas Partey being back is massive for them as he frees Martin Odegaard up. Bournemouth have had a really good season but they might be on their hols now. Arsenal 3-0 Bournemouth.

Saturday 3pm: Brentford v Fulham

Neither have much to play for but it would be a feather in the cap if either was to win it. I’m going to tip up Brentford to win. Fulham have been a bit up and down but they’re fine in mid table. With the right players Fulham could make the top 10 next season. Brentford 2-1 Fulham.

Saturday 3pm: Burnley v Newcastle

I’ll go for a Newcastle win, they’re going to finish the season strong and they’re already planning for next season in terms of players in and out. The problem for Burnley is that you can’t really rely on them. They’ve been the best of the bottom three I would say but I don’t fancy them winning against Newcastle even though they’re at home. Burnley 0-2 Newcastle.

Saturday 3pm: Sheff United v Nott’m Forest

Nottingham Forest were beaten by Manchester City last time which we expected. This is probably one of the biggest games they’ve every played in but Sheffield United tend to ship goals at home, ridiculous goals, and they make so many mistakes. I fancy Forest to nick it. Sheffield United 1-2 Nottingham Forest.

Saturday 5.30pm: Manchester City v Wolves

TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League

Wolves are decent, they’ve had a good season, but Manchester City have got the bit between their teeth. You have to go for City. They’re all fit and firing and there’s no Champions League to distract them or anything like that so they’ll just get on with it. Manchester City 3-1 Wolves.

Sunday 2pm: Brighton v Aston Villa

TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League

Brighton are at home but that doesn’t seem to make any difference. Since Roberto De Zerbi had a moan up about the owner not matching his ambitions they’ve barely won. It’s quite a few games. Aston Villa are in a good vein of form although Chelsea pulled them back last time. I’ll go for a draw. Brighton 1-1 Aston Villa.

Sunday 2pm: Chelsea v West Ham

Chelsea have conceded so many goals but it’s jut the way they are, they’re as likely to win 4-0 as they are to lose 4-0. West Ham are a strange one because it’s obvious that other managers are being interviewed and David Moyes has always said he’s waiting until the end of the season to see what’s happening. West Ham drew last time but I’ll go for Chelsea. Chelsea 2-1 West Ham.

Sunday 4.30pm: Liverpool v Tottenham

TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League

Tottenham are very open and you know Liverpool will score, they always do. It’s getting closer to Jurgen Klopp’s swansong so they should put it in. I think Tottenham will score but Liverpool will win. Spurs have had some mad fixtures towards the end of this season! Liverpool 3-1 Tottenham.

Monday 8pm: Crystal Palace v Man United

TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League

There’s strange messages coming out of Manchester United at the moment about what they will or will not do in the summer. I think everyone’s just guessing. Crystal Palace have been good under their new manager Oliver Glasner but I think the results are helped by the fact the two boys Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise are back. I’m going to go for Palace to win this. Crystal Palace 2-1 Manchester United.
