Neither side come into this Championship clash in the best of shape. QPR have won just two of their last five in the league, drawing one, and losing one, sharing the same results on home soil. Preston have won just one of their last five, drawing one, and losing two. Away from home, they’ve won two, drawn one, and lost two.
While the stats show that QPR have scored six over their last five at home, Preston have scored four of their last five on the road but the big difference here could be at the back. The away side don’t concede too many on the road but, that being said, Rangers have scored in all but two of their last 10 at home. We’re likely looking at a 1-1, possibly 0-0 here, so we’re backing the Draw.
Under 2.5 Goals
Over 2.5 goals has only been seen in three of QPR’s last five at home and in just two of Preston’s last five on the road. As mentioned above, both teams are struggling for goals with just six and four goals scored over their last five respective home/away games. This will be one watched by the purists only.
Over 3.5 Cards
While we mightn’t see many goals, we should see plenty of fouls. QPR have picked up 96 bookings in the league this season with Preston chalking up 101 cards in all. Over 3.5 Cards has landed in four of QPR’s last five on home soil and with four also been seen in two of Preston’s last five on the road it’s a trend we need to be exploiting.
Over 1.5 QPR Cards
Granted, Preston have the worst disciplinary record between the two overall, however, at Loftus Road, QPR players can get a bit rash. They’ve picked up at least two cards in six of their last seven on home soil. Again, it’s a trend we have to be exploiting.
Ilias Chair to have 1 or more Shots on Target
QPR’s Moroccan winger Ilias Chair has played in all but two Championship games this season, scoring five and assisting six goals. He should really have a load more goals than that however, he averages a whopping 2.6 shots per game. Chances may be few and far between here so we fully expect Chair to launch on from distance when he has the chance.
