Eintracht Frankfurt v Augsburg
Bundesliga match at Deutsche Bank Park, Frankfurt
Friday, 7:30pm
Both Teams to Score
Augsburg come into their Friday night match against Eintracht Frankfurt in the better form. The away side have won three, drawn one, and lost one over their last five while on their recent league travels have won two, drawn two, and lost two, scoring 11 and conceding six.
The hosts have won just one of their last five in the Bundesliga, drawing two, and losing two while on home soil have won one and drawn four, scoring seven and conceding five. Eintracht are proving very tough to beat at home but don’t keep many clean sheets, so, Both Teams to Score makes the best sense here.
Cagliari v Juventus
Serie A match at the Unipol Domus, Cagliari
TV: TNT Sports, Friday, 7:45pm
Both Teams to Score
Cagliari will be forgiven for sniffing blood here as Juventus have won just one of their last six Serie A fixtures. The hosts have won two, drawn two, and lost one over their last respective five, sharing the same results over their last five played at home where they scored nine and conceded eight.
Juve have won one, drawn three, and lost two over those last six games and on the road have drawn two and lost three, scoring just three while conceding six. However, they should be scoring against the host’s defence, seeing as they’ve only kept two clean sheets all season at home.
Cagliari and Draw
Hard to argue against Juve’s bad form of late, they’re limping towards the end of the season but the difference in points between them in third, 63, and Atalanta in sixth, 55, should still see them getting Champions League football next season, especially since Italy will have five Champions League placed next term.
Cagliari have only tasted defeat in two of their last 10 home Serie A fixtures so there’s plenty of value to be had in backing them in the Double Chance market.
Nice v Lorient
Ligue Un match at the Allianz Riviera, Nice
TV: TNT Sports, Friday, 8pm
Draw
Both sides are in bad form here, Nice have won just one of their last five as well as just one of their last five at home, where they drew one and lost three. Lorient have also won just one of their last five but have been decent on the road, winning three, drawing one, and losing one.
That being said, recent form tends to trump home/away form and both teams have been both scoring and conceding a good few of late. Neither though possess a killer instinct to finish teams and this one should end in a score draw.
Athletic Bilbao v Granada
La Liga match at San Mames Barria, Bilbao
TV: LaLiga TV, Premier Sports, Friday, 8pm
Athletic Bilbao to Win to Nil
Athletic Bilbao’s Copa del Rey win hangover saw them drawing at home to Villarreal last weekend. Their home La Liga form has been immense this season, indeed they’ve not lost since their first home game against Real Madrid and have won three and drawn two over their last five on home soil in the league.
Granada are still waiting on their first away win this season, they’ve chalked up just two points over their 15 away games this campaign, losing four of their last five on their league excursions, drawing the other and failing to score in three of them. The hosts should be winning this one without conceding.
