Birmingham v Cardiff

Championship match at St Andrew’s, Birmingham
TV: Sky Sports Red Button, Wednesday, 7:45pm

Over 2.5 Goals

It’s crunch time now for Birmingham City but it’s a situation they’ve found themselves in many a time over the last few seasons in the Championship. They battled hard away to Leicester over the weekend but lost 2-1 thanks to a late Stephy Mavididi for the Foxes. Blues have won just one of their last nine in the league while at home have won two and lost three, scoring six while conceding seven.

Cardiff have won two and lost three of their last five in the league and share the same record on their recent travels, scoring four and conceding nine. The market is certainly siding with the hosts for this one but with both teams being quite leaky at the back, Over 2.5 Goals has the better decent value.

Ipswich v Watford

Championship match at Portman Road, Ipswich
TV: Sky Sports Red Button, Wednesday, 7:45pm

Over 2.5 Goals

Whether leader leagues Leicester of Leeds in third position win on Tuesday night or not, Ipswich, sitting in second at the time of writing, obviously need to win here. They’ll be disappointed with their narrow 1-0 loss away to Norwich in the East Anglican derby but with eight wins over their last 10 in the league they’ll be confident of grabbing the points on offer here.

Keiran McKenna’s side have won all five of their most recent home Championship games too, scoring a whopping 19 goals while conceding eight.

Watford are a tough nut to crack, as their last three draws show while their away league form reads as two wins, one draw, and two losses with six goals scored and seven conceded. Ipswich should be winning here, we’re likely looking at a 2-1, 3-0, or 3-1 so backing Over 2.5 Goals makes the best sense.

Nathan Broadhead to Score

Wales’ Nathan Broadhead has been paramount to Ipswich’s push up the Championship rankings. He’s scored 13 in the league this season, assisting another three, and is tied with Conor Chaplin at the top of the goalscorers charts for the club.

He bagged three over his last six on home soil and two over his last four and we think he’s going to be key to breaking down Watford’s defence.

West Brom v Rotherham

Championship match at the Hawthorns, West Bromwich
TV: Sky Sports Red Button, Wednesday, 8pm

West Brom to Win to Nil

Rotherham are doomed to relegation, they’ve won one of the 17 in the league and haven’t won a single away game in the league this campaign. Indeed, they’ve scored just 13 goals on their travels and have shipped 13 unanswered goals over their last three away Championship fixtures.

West Brom are unbeaten over their last nine in the league and have won three, drawn one, and lost one over their last five played at the Hawthorns. They’re far, far better than Rotherham and should be winning this with a clean sheet.

Swansea v Stoke

Championship match at the Swansea City Stadium, Swansea
TV: Sky Sports Football, Wednesday, 8pm

Both Teams to Score

Stoke would appear to be in the better for here. The Potters have won two, drawn two, and lost one over their last five but their away form of two wins and three draws isn’t the best. Although they scored six goals over those five while conceding seven.

Swansea have won just one of their last five in the league, drawing one and losing three while on home soil have won two and lost three, scoring five and conceding eight. Those porous defensive lines should see Both Teams to Score landing for this one.
