Udinese’s form wouldn’t exactly instill bucket loads of confidence in their fans coming into their clash with Serie A leaders Inter. The hosts have won just two of their last 10 in the league but they have, at least, scored in three of their last four matches. They’re a tough side to beat at home too, losing just three of their last 10 at the Bluenergy and scored in seven of those 10, although it must be noted they’ve only scored four goals over their last fiveon home soil.
Inter’s defence, however, is the stingiest in the league. Simeone Inzaghi’s side have conceded just 14 goals this season and just six on their league jaunts. Indeed, they’ve kept five clean sheets over their last seven in the league and five over their last eight on the road. Udinese will make them work hard for the points, they always do but against such a steely defence, Both Teams to Score, No should be landing here.

Udinese have picked up an eye-watering 76 cards this season, 71 yellows and five reds while Inter have collected just 40 in the Serie A. Over their last six home league games, the home side have picked up 3, 6, 3, 3, 5, and 5 bookings and since they won’t have much of the ball here, they’re going to be bringing a few opposition players to the ground. They should be picking up at least three cards.
Lautaro Martinez to have 2 or more Shots on Target
Argentine striker Lautaro Martinez has 23 Serie A goals to his name over 27 appearances for the Nerazzurri but has only hit the back of the net once over his last five. It’s not for the want of trying though, he averages a whopping 3.2 goals per game and against. He’s got a decent record against Udinese, scoring four over his last 10 games against them so we reckon he’ll be pretty eager to get back on the scoresheet here. There’s some decent value to be had in backing him to have at least 2 Shots on Target.
Inter to Win
While the odds in the Inter -1 market are tempting, it’s hard to argue with the fact that Udinese are a tricky task on home soil. Only two teams have beaten them by two goals or more so far this season and while Inter certainly have the firepower to do so, we’re going to play it a little safer and back them to win as we’re very likely looking at a 0-1, or 0-2 scoreline here.
