Man United v Everton
Premier League match at Old Trafford, Manchester
TV: TNT Sports, Saturday, 12:30pm

We have everything you need to build your Man Utd v Everton Bet Builder on Saturday. Erik ten Hag’s men face Sean Dyche’s Everton at Old Trafford with both teams needing a win. United have to bounce back after another derby day humiliation to Man City, while Everton need to halt their steep decline.

Man United to Win

As bad as Man United were in the derby loss to Man City, you also have to acknowledge that there have been some green shoots of hope in the past couple of months. They’re also facing an Everton team who have been really struggling and if we are honest, look like they’re in freefall.

Everton have now failed to win in their last 10 Premier League games making Saturday’s trip to Old Trafford a tough prospect. It’s even harder when you consider that Man Utd have won the last four meetings between the two teams, and they should do again here.

Halftime Draw

You’re looking at two of the worst teams in the Premier League when it comes to first-half performances and we’re going to take advantage of that fact for our Bet Builder. Man United have somehow only been winning at halftime in two of their 13 Premier League games at Old Trafford this season, tied for the worst record in the league, with four being level and seven seeing them behind.

When it comes to playing on the road, we’ve seen Sean Dyche’s team go into the halftime break in the lead just once away from home all season. With both teams struggling in the first 45 minutes of games we’ll likely see this one level at the interval.

Over 2.5 Goals

Both teams see far more action in the second halves of games though and we should see three or more goals in this game. We’ve seen Over 2.5 goals in each of Man United’s previous nine games in the Premier League, dating back into last year.

We also have form in this fixture too, with United scoring two or more goals in eight of their last 10 games against Everton in all competitions. There should be goals on Saturday.

Marcus Rashford to have 3 or more shots

Across the season Marcus Rashford ranks third in the host’s squad for shots per game, averaging 2.2, behind both Bruno Fernandes and Alejandro Garnacho. It may shock you to then see that we’re backing the England international to take three or more shots on Saturday against Everton.

What the data doesn’t tell you is that the 2.2 average includes several games in which he was subbed, the four times he came from the bench, and also the fact that for the majority of the season, he’s played out wide, whereas we’re likely to see him start down the middle on Saturday, against a poor Everton defence. These factors should be enough to see him cover the three-shot line.

Abdoulaye Doucoure to Commit 2 or more Fouls

It’s been an interesting season for Abdoulaye Doucoure. The 31-year-old is somehow still Everton’s top goalscorer on six goals, over double that of his nearest rivals Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Jack Harrison. We aren’t betting on the Malian to score though, but rather his ability to commit fouls.

He’s averaged two fouls per game in the Premier League this season and we’re backing him to do the same here against the Red Devils. It’s likely the home side will see the bulk of possession and with the Toffees despite for a win, and likely motivated to come and get something from a game in which they’d have hopes of three points, he might come out flying and give up at least a couple of fouls.
