COVENTRY V ROTHERHAM – BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE

TV: Sky Sports Red Button

Following two defeats in succession, Coventry will be hoping the league table plays true when they host all-but relegated Rotherham on Tuesday night. On paper, it should be a straightforward home victory, but Rotherham haven’t been the pushovers that their record may suggest. Although winless since Boxing Day, Leam Richardson’s side have at least scored in four of their last five Championship away fixtures.

Speaking of Boxing Day, that was also the last time that Coventry achieved a Championship home clean sheet, so they’re certainly not defensively reliable. Rotherham have claimed only three clean sheets all season, so the main debate on this selection is whether Rotherham can score. Coventry need the win here, and there is no point in Rotherham parking the bus, so we’ll take Both Teams to Score.

HULL V BIRMINGHAM – UNDER 2.5 GOALS

TV: Sky Sports Red Button

One troublesome area for Hull has been their home form, which is ranked mid-table across the home record of all Championship clubs. Matches here have more often than not been close affairs; averaging roughly 2.40 goals per game; with each of the last three here ending Under 2.5 Goals. Each of Hull’s previous 11 in all competitions has either been drawn or won by either side by a one-goal margin, so another tight battle is very likely.

Birmingham could well have a big central defensive shortage in this game, with Dion Sanderson now banned. Krystian Bielik is also out through injury, and there is no certainty Marc Roberts will be fit. As such, a likely makeshift back four is going to need big protection, and the plan could be solidarity in numbers and a target of Under 2.5 goals.

LEEDS V STOKE – LEEDS/LEEDS HALF-TIME/FULL-TIME

TV: Sky Sports Red Button

Leeds failed to break their club record for consecutive league victories when drawing with local rivals Huddersfield on Saturday. Daniel Farke highlighted how disappointed the dressing room was after that game, and it could be that Stoke are on the end of a bit of a Leeds backlash here. The Whites have lost second spot to Ipswich for now, and they’ll be desperate to bet back to Elland Road and put on a show.

Farke’s side possess the strongest home record in the division, and they’ll also be after some kind of payback after Stoke defeated Leeds 1-0 back in October. Only Ipswich have netted more first-half goals in comparison to Leeds, and Stoke have the fourth-worst defensive record based on the first half of away games. That marriage points towards the Leeds HT/FT selection surely having a top chance.

SHEFF WEDNESDAY V PLYMOUTH –  UGBO To Score ANYTIME

TV: Sky Sports Action

It was another game and another goal for Ike Ugbo at the weekend as the striker fired in the only goal in Sheffield Wednesday’s win at rivals Rotherham to further enhance their prospects of avoiding relegation. Whilst The Owls remain second-from-bottom, it is the goals of Ugbo which has given them a real shot at survival. The 25-year-old has fired six goals in his last five appearances.

Prior to his current scoring run, he hadn’t found the back of the net since November, so the frontman has firmly found a purple patch. With four wins in five for Sheff Wed, the goals of Ugbo are clearly contributing to positive results, and three points will again be targeted when fellow relegation rivals Plymouth visits Hillsborough.

With Argyle keeping only three clean sheets since the start of November, a chance is taken on that not extending to four, and Ugbo should be the man to bag if Wednesday do get amongst the goals.

IPSWICH V BRISTOL CITY – BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE

TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Football

It would be fair to say that Ipswich are back. Their run of just two wins in 11 in all competitions is now very much a thing of the past as Keiren McKenna’s made it five straight victories when beating Plymouth away on Saturday. Their home form, however, has maintained consistently strong, with only Leeds managing to exit Portman Road with three points this season.

However, that is despite having some defensive reservations in front of their own supporters. McKenna’s men have earned just three home league clean sheets; two of which came either in or earlier than October. Rock-bottom Rotherham came and scored three here only a few weeks ago. Also, Bristol City have scored in nine of their past 11 on the road in all competitions, so a good case is made for both teams scoring.
