Luton were so open in the Cup during the week against Man City. There was just so much space in behind. and you know with Haaland and De Bruyne, they’re like the two best in the world at the moment and they were always going to exploit it.
Kevin De Bruyne was getting to turn on the ball and with his vision he’s just so good. Haaland was staying on side and has the pace so that as soon as he gets through it’s a goal.
City have two of the best players in the Premier League combining like that and just look full of confidence again with De Bruyne back. He really is a genius,
I remember when I was at Stoke on the bench at the Etihad and he’d made three goals in the first half in the game and all the crowd stood up and applauded him – and I nearly joined them he was so good.
He set up four of the goals the other night, Haaland scored five and could have had more in the first half. It was a joke.
If United play like that they’re going to get well-beaten.
It felt like they were getting back to some kind of form before the Fulham game. That what made that result so disappointing. You never feel confident with United, even when they look in control.
It’s the same in for their big players too, you don’t know what kind of performance you’re going to get from them, and Rasmus Hojlund’s a big miss for them.
He’s proven himself to be a hugely important player for United and it felt like he’d kind of clicked into gear, so this injury’s come at the worst possible time, It felt like he was going to score in every game recently, and he was proving his critics wrong.
You’d hope that they’ve learned a few lessons from previous beatings at the Etihad, like last season’s 6-3.
Man City to Win
United are better at sitting deeper and if they try to take City on like that, they’ve got players that can hurt you on the break,
So a game sometimes can suit United, but I just think City are far too strong and if they get ahead United will struggle to get back into it. I could see this finishing three or four-nil.
Kevin De Bruyne to have 1 or more shots on target
There’s so much talent in the City line-up you’re spoilt for choice really in player bets. Erling Haaland, Phil Foden and Bernardo Silva, they’re all in great form, but I’ll go for Kevin De Bruyne for a shot on target here as he’s playing so well since returning and really makes a difference to this team.
Phil Foden to be fouled 1 or more times
Foden’s been on fire recently and should be a handful for the United defence, so that means he should be fouled at least once in this game.
Bruno Fernandes to have 1 or more shots on target
For United, I know Bruno Fernandez has his critics but he can always pull something out of nowhere, so seems a good option for a shot on target for them.
Casemiro to be shown a card
But Manchester City should control the game and I can’t see many cards rom their point of view, even in the derby.
Sometimes kicking out and making a foul is your only way of showing the fans you care when you’re losing though so maybe there’ll be a few for United. Casemiro always seems to be treading a line with refs and seems a good shout for a card.
