Arsenal to Win

I always think this time of year is a really tough one to gauge if you’re fighting on multiple fronts. Arsenal are out of the FA Cup, not in a League Cup final and are three weeks away from a mediocre test in Europe against Porto.

Nottingham Forest? Well they’re knee-deep in a relegation battle with an FA Cup third round replay against Bristol City coming up. Teams will never outright say it, but the thinner squads will pick and choose their targets.

And beating Arsenal? Not worth the likely reward for the effort required. It’s Arsenal to Win to kick us off.

Gabriel Martinelli to Have 2 or More Shots on Target

I just love Gabriel Martinelli. Arsenal have had a whole host of young players over the last fifteen years that they swore would develop into top class performers – but Martinelli might actually be the one.

He’s into his fifth year in England now and generally speaking, Arsenal go as he does – primarily because they can’t seem to tie down a goal scorer on a consistent basis – thus making him a great play to Have 2 or More Shots on Target.

Over 2.5 Goals

Forest have seen nineteen goals in their last five games because of the change in mantra, which is an overall positive. But in the short-term, they can’t just switch their sessions back to being defensive-minded.

Right now, we’re seeing a team that are on the front foot – but who won’t have the required desire to attack, nor have the collective focus to defend in numbers. What usually happens here? A hammering with Over 2.5 Goals.

Declan Rice To Attempt 90 Or More Passes

Arsenal’s biggest step forward has been a literal step forward. They no longer need to pass the ball around the centre halves; they’re allowing their build-up to take place in the opposition half.

Declan Rice, when teams aren’t going to press, benefits most when it comes to stat-padding. This is a prime opportunity to rack up Over 90 Passes.

Ryan Yates to Commit 2 or More Fouls

My favourite thing about the newly-promoted sides over the last few years is they’re absolutely all employing a game-wrecker. I don’t mean that in an overly-complimentary sense, either.

Ryan Yates is going to kick someone. And he’ll likely do it at least twice. There are only six players with more fouls committed than the Englishman.
