Everton v Fulham
Goodison Park, Liverpool 7:45pm
Over 2.5 Goals
Everton have now won their last four games without conceding. That’s the type of sentence you never thought you’d ever write concerning Everton. But here we are. That Premier League 10-point penalty looks like the best thing to have happened to Everton in recent history as it galvanised Sean Dyche’s squad.
They’ve scored eight over their last five and nine over their last five at Goodison. Fulham have been having a great spell of late too, winning three of their last five, scoring a mammoth 16 goals while conceding nine.
For both sides, this is the only route they have to some possible silverware and with both in good goal-scoring form we should see at least three goals.
Port Vale v Middlesbrough
Vale Park Stoke-on-Trent, 7:45pm
Both Teams to Score
Port Vale are stuck down in 15th in League One with Middlesbrough in 13th in the Championship. Knowing they’ll face Premier League opposition in the next round they’ll both be plenty motivated to go for broke here.
The hosts aren’t in great shape but have scored eight over their last five in all competitions and seven over their last five at Vale Park. ‘Boro have won two and lost three over their last five, scoring nine and have scored 12 over their last five on their travels. Both Teams to Score has some nice value here.
Middlesbrough to Win
With their superior goal-scoring form we see a decent bit of value in ‘Boro’s price to win. It’s worth mentioning, of course, that the hosts have won just one of their last six on home soil too and while they’ll be up for it, we just can’t see them outsourcing Michael Carrick’s side.

Chelsea v Newcastle
Stamford Bridge, London, 8pm
TV: Sky Sports Football/Main Event
Over 2.5 Goals
Both sides have won just two of their last five fixtures, losing the other three. There is, though, a huge contrast in their home/away form. The Blues have won three, drawn one and lost one of their last five at the Bridge. Toon haven’t won any of their last five on the road but have found the back of the next in six of their last seven games.
Mauricio Pochettinos’ side lost 4-1 away to Newcastle this season in a game they wilted in when faced with Newcastle’s home fans so will be eager to extract some revenge here. They’ve also scored 11 over their last five at home so we’re expecting to see at least three goals.
Anthony Gordon to have 1 or more Shots on Target
Anthony Gordon’s been a wee goldmine in the shots markets this season. He’s landing 2.2 shots per game this season and just loves cutting in, finding some space and getting a shot off.
While Chelsea have been getting the wins at home this season, they’ve still been conceding plenty, allowing eight over their last five on home soil. Newcastle will be breaking fast on the Blues here, we’re marking Gordon to have at last 1 Shots on Target.
