    Aston Villa v Arsenal

    Saturday, 5:30pm
    TV: Sky Sports Main Event

Villa have been unbelievable – what a turnaround from last year. The players are buying into Unai Emery’s plan and it feels like a perfect fit.

I’ve seen a lot of Villa this season and none better than when they did Brighton 6-1. The home form especially has been relentless – they just keep winning.

There are players throughout the teams you just really like watching.

Obviously Ollie Watkins has gone in and scored goals since he joined the club, but Douglas Luiz has really stepped up, they look solid defensively, and have a good goalkeeper too.

There’s a lot to admire all around the pitch and they’ve put themselves in the title conversation – can they really do it?

Instinctively, you might say no, but after Leicester, you never really know. We’ll see where they are after Christmas.

They should be so confident though – they’ve just gone and beaten the best team in Europe deservedly and are flying up the league.

And when they looks at Arsenal conceding three against Luton in midweek, that should encourage Villa.

Mikel Arteta’s side do look great going forward, and I like their defence as well, but they have been susceptible on set-pieces, where Villa are strong.

But results like that for Arsenal galvanise a team as well. We all remember the United teams of old, even when they were losing, you still kind of knew they were going to win somehow. It’s usually the sign of a title-winning side.

If Arsenal could go to Villa and win people might start calling them favourites for the league the way it’s shaping up.

It’s a very tough game to call on Saturday though – can Villa go and win another one at home, just after beating Man City?

I can see goals for both sides, but I’m going to sit on the fence and say it’ll finish a draw.

I like Villa a lot but Arsenal can get a job done when they need to and taking a point from Villa Park wouldn’t be bad at the moment.

Ollie Watkins to Score or Assist

You don’t have to look much further than Ollie Watkins for Villa’s biggest threat.

He’s on fire at the moment and he should be a handful all evening – if he doesn’t score one he’s bound to be involved in making them. Watkins to score or assist is an easy selection.

Douglas Luiz to Have 2+ Shots

Everything good for Villa goes through Douglas Luiz in midfield. I love him as a player and he’s not afraid to have a shot either. He should have two at least here.

Bukayo Saka to be Fouled 2 or More Times

Bukayo Saka’s playing so well at the moment. Villa’s defence will have to get a hold of him and that should lead to him being fouled a couple of times at least.
