Burnley vs West Ham

Jarrod Bowen to have 1 or more Shots on Target

Jarrod Bowen has been in spectacular form for West Ham this season, especially away from home. The West Ham forward has scored eight league goals so far this season, with six of them coming away from home.

He will fancy his chances of continuing his impressive away form against a wretchedly out-of-form Burnley side that has conceded a whopping 30 goals in just 12 league games this season, the second-worst defensive record in the division.

The Clarets face an average of over 15 shots per game in the league and there is every chance that Bowen will find the target at least once on Saturday afternoon.

Bowen forward averages 2.8 shots per game this season, almost twice the average of any other West Ham player, and is good value to land at least one effort on target.

Luton vs Crystal Palace

Under 2.5 Goals

Neither Luton nor Crystal Palace score many goals. Only bottom club Burnley have scored fewer goals than Luton’s tally of ten league goals this season, while Palace’s tally of 12 goals is the fifth-worst record in the division.

Both sides are also relatively compact at the other end. The Eagles’ record of 16 goals conceded is the best defensive record in the bottom half, while the host’s record of 22 goals conceded is by far the best record of the bottom five, apart from Everton who would be much higher in the table if it wasn’t for the points deduction.

Three of Luton’s five home games have seen two goals or fewer and it wouldn’t be surprising to see another low-scoring affair at Kenilworth Road this Saturday.

Newcastle vs Chelsea

Over 5.5 Cards

Only Wolves have picked up more cards in the Premier League than Chelsea this season. Discipline has been a huge problem for Mauricio Pochettino’s side, with several players already missing games through suspension this season.

The Blues have picked up a staggering 40 yellow cards and one sending off in 12 league games this season at an average of more than three cards per game.

Their opponents Newcastle hardly have a disciplinary record to be proud of either. Eddie Howe’s side have amassed 33 bookings in 12 games so far, although they have avoided any sending offs.

Considering Chelsea and Newcastle have received a combined 74 cards in the league this season, there is every chance that Saturday’s clash will be a feisty affair and there could be a flurry of cards issued.

Nottingham Forest vs Brighton

Over 5.5 Brighton Corners

Brighton will almost certainly dominate possession and territory against Nottingham Forest on Saturday. Roberto De Zerbi’s side boast the second-highest possession averages in the league this season, averaging 61.9% possession per game.

Forest, on the other hand, are polar opposites, averaging just 38.6% possession per game, the third-lowest possession statistics in the division.

With that in mind, it is unsurprising that Forest have conceded 86 corners in 12 league games this season, an average of over seven per game.

Brighton, meanwhile, have won just over five corners per game this season but can expect that average to rise against Forest on Saturday.

Sheffield United vs Bournemouth

Both Teams to Score

Neither Sheffield United nor Bournemouth can be trusted to keep a clean sheet. The two relegation-threatened sides have shipped 58 goals between them this season, with Sheffield United’s record of 31 goals conceded standing as the worst defensive record in the division.

The Blades are yet to keep a clean sheet in the league and although Bournemouth have done so on two occasions, they have failed to do it in any of their away games.

Andoni Iraola’s side have been particularly porous on the road, conceding 17 goals in five away league games this season and have shown nothing to suggest that they are capable of being compact away from home.

There is also nothing to suggest that either of the two sides are capable of keeping a clean sheet on Saturday.

Over 2.5 Sheffield United Cards

Sheffield United’s disciplinary record is one of the worst in the division.

Their record of 33 bookings and one sending off represents the fourth-highest number of cards in the league so far, while their average of 12.3 fouls per game is the third-highest in the league.

Considering this game is an early-season six-pointer, there is likely to be plenty of meaty challenges and there is every chance that Sheffield United will pick up at least three cards.
