Despite Manchester United’s horror defeat at home against Crystal Palace last weekend, as well as their general sub-par Premier League form, I’m still confident Erik ten Hag’s men will get the job done against Galatasaray.
Galatasaray are doing well in the league but the Champions League is another level. I expect United to win 3-0 so I’m backing them on the -2 Handicap.
United need to come out flying at Old Trafford and I fancy them to net a few so backing goalscorers makes plenty of sense. I’m on Rasmus Hojlund to Score Anytime and Bruno Fernandes to Score Anytime.
In these European games there’s a lot of penalties and free kicks as the officials give more than Premier League referees. That will help our chances of Hojlund and Fernandes netting.
My final pick is Marcus Rashford to Have One or More Shots on Target. He hasn’t been in the greatest form this season, however, he’s shoot on sight and he always has a couple of chances when he plays on the left. The England man should get an effort on target.
Arsenal dominated against PSV in their first Champions League group game and they had another impressive victory at Bournemouth last weekend.
Lens are struggling this season after being incredible last campaign so I’m expecting Arsenal to Win. The Gunners are flying under Mikel Arteta and he’ll know the importance of winning their first two group matches.
I’m also on Bukayo Saka to Score Anytime, which is a fairly obvious selection considering his form this season. He’s been the main man for the Gunners and as mentioned with the United game, penalties are awarded more often in European matches. Saka will likely take them ahead of Martin Odegaard.
My final two picks for Arsenal’s trip to Lens are Odegaard to Have One or More Shots on Target and Facundo Medina to be Carded.
The Arsenal captain netted at Bournemouth last weekend and he’s always value for a shot on target, especially with him liking to pull the trigger from outside the box.
Medina was booked for Lens last weekend and he’s already been carded in four of his Ligue 1 appearences this season. He’s good value for a card.
