Football Tips: Man City to struggle in this 25/1 Bet Builder for RB Leipzig trip

Will the Citizens fail to win for the third consecutive game?

RB Leipzig v Man City Bet Builder Tips

RB Leipzig To Win or Draw
Under 3.5 Goals
Xaver Schlager to Commit Two or More Fouls
Erling Haaland to Have Two or More Shots on Target
Lois Openda to Have One or More Shots on Target

I’m at the point where Manchester City are just so automatic, any time I see any remotely glaring chink of their psychological armour, I’m on-hand to twist the knife.

Yes, you can bet your life I’m on my way to tell you how you can win money while witnessing Man City look somewhat human and enjoy the journey to boot.

And while many might scoff, I can tell you that taking the odds-on about City to win this game of football is even more illogical given their record away from home in Europe. Or, yano, Wolverhampton.

How many away games did City win the Champions League last year? One is the answer. And that was their opening one – a four-nil pasting of Sevilla who deeply wanted to be in the Europa League anyway. Trust me, we’re onto something.

RB Leipzig to win or draw

Bayern Munich look somewhat unimpressive – something that only signing an Englishman could manage. Their 14 points from six games might be a mighty fine return in most leagues, but not here.

Leipzig look like one of the contenders this year, and that’s as much down to their defensive aptitude as anything else.

I mean, the near-three goals-a-game don’t hurt either, but hey-ho.

And I know some people will suggest that I’m overhyping City’s struggles on their travels in Europe. Yes, Mahrez missed two penalties; but the argument persists that Pep just wants to do enough in those situations.

And that’s far and a way away from their modus operandi. This is not your week-in, week-out City you’re avoiding the odds-on for.

    Under 3.5 goals

Even forgetting the above defensive reinforcement I’m lauding Leipzig for, none of City’s last five away trips in Europe have produced over two goals, let alone three.

Nil-alls in Copenhagen and Dortmund were followed up by three consecutive one-alls with Leipzig themselves, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.

    There’s a formula here.

Xaver Schlager to Commit Two or More Fouls

Schlager is one of the players to have managed to sell his soul twice by switching between Red Bull clubs. It’s as impressive as it is disappointing.

Maybe that inner disappointment in his morality has arrived in the shape of him kicking people for fun in the Bundesliga – a competition in which he leads for fouls committed. Well done, sir.

Playing as the opposing number six against City comes with a mandate of leaving a leg in if you can get within three feet, so expect that trend to continue.

Erling Haaland to Have Two or More Shots on Target

Well, you know. He’s averaging 1.8 shots on target per game this season, and you generally want to strike in a trough as opposed to peak before it levels itself again.

I laughed last week because in a presser, someone spoke about Haaland being in a slump because he’s only scored in one of his last three games, and Guardiola kinda accepted the comment in a serious tone.

    Such is his standard.

Lois Openda to Have One or More Shots on Target

Every year, we end up finding a player that comes from some top eight club in Germany that gets linked to the Premier League because he’s gone and scored against an English side in the Champions League, looks a little bit different and who, because having never grown up in an English academy, might actually have untapped potential past the age of 22.

    Welcome, Lois Openda.
