Tonight, we see Croatia take on Spain in the final of the Nations League. After two great semi-finals, it all comes down to this. Croatia managed to dig deep and come away with a two goal victory during Extra Time against the Dutch midweek. Spain on the other hand overcame Italy 2-1 by way of goals from Yeremy Pino and Joselu. This game is going to give us plenty to feast our eyes on, especially around the midfield battle between these two sides.

Croatia to Win
From the performance that we saw midweek by this Croatian side, and their ability to dig deep to find goals, partnered with their second wind when it really mattered in Extra Time – really leaves me with the impression that Croatia could absolutely come away with a win in this one. The more experienced side, still yet to win any silverware during Luka Modric’s reign, have an opportunity once more to help finish out his footballing CV.

Andrej Kramaric to Have 1 or More Shots on Target
Andrej Kramaric managed to get himself 12 goals this season for Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga. He scored those 12 goals with just 21 shots on target during the season – with a shot conversion rate of 37%. He’s averaging 0.79 shots on target per game at the minute but will be the main man up front for Croatia in this game as they look to exploit the space between the centre backs and midfield.

Both semi finals saw well over this mark. Croatia alone picked up four yellow cards in their semi final, and the game between Spain and Italy saw five yellow cards in total. In a game, much like most finals, lads will be keen to get stuck in, even if it’s cagey from a goals perspective.

Speaking of cagey from a goals perspective, we’re opting for Under 3.5 goals in this one. Yes, both semis saw plenty of goals, but we need to think more rationally here. Finals just tend to produce fewer goals; we’re giving ourselves room for a bit of back and forth by going for the Under 3.5 mark. Overall, though, this game could very well end one-nil.
