While I understand Sam Allardyce has had more clubs than the Marbella strip, it does feel slightly spicy every time he comes back to a former club.
Generally what’s happened is the upper echelons of ownership believe they can move past his draconian approach to football and move into the next era to become like Man City but without the cheques written out in dirhams.

But West Ham have hardly hit major heights since Big Sam left nearly a decade ago now, and he returns to Leeds aiming to get them out of trouble, as consistently as he has done with other sides in the past. While you could suggest the Irons aren’t mathematically safe, there’s a fair chance they can be come kickoff here, and that will lend itself to this being a non-affair for the home side.
Banking on Leeds to win a competitive game won’t be my idea of a bet in this day and age, but seeing them winning one that only one of the XIs care about suggest some value to me all the same..

Anything to avoid Patrick Bamford having a meaningful touch of the football, I’d suggest.
