It’s crunch time for relegation-threatened Leeds United as they face a Newcastle United side hoping to maintain their position in the top four. Sam Allardyce’s side will take the positives from their last outing away to Man City, as they fought back to almost claim a point.
Leeds have scored and conceded in each of their last ten league games and will leave themselves exposed at the back once again as they go in search of a vital three points. Newcastle haven’t been sound defensively either of late, with the Magpies only keeping their opposition at bay once in their last 14 Premier League clashes.
With both sides in desperate need of something out of the game for differing reasons, I’m expecting goals at both ends in the early kick-off.
Alexander Isak To Score Anytime
Swedish international Alexander Isak has proven to be a shrewd signing since arriving on Tyneside. The attacker has hit double digits for goals so far this campaign and always looks dangerous utilising his pace going forward.
Eddie Howe’s side have found form on their travels, having won four of their last five games away from home and Isak has found the back of the net four times in those outings. The Leeds defence has looked vulnerable all season and they’ll struggle to handle the threat that Isak so often poses.

Rodrigo 2+ Shots On Target
Spanish forward Rodrigo has 12 goals to his name this season despite the struggles of Leeds United throughout the campaign. It’s more than double anyone in the entire squad and he’ll take confidence from scoring against Man City at the Etihad Stadium last weekend having replaced the out-of-form Patrick Bamford up top.
With more shots taken than anyone at the Yorkshire club this season, Rodrigo could be backed by Sam Allardyce to test Nick Pope in front of the Elland Road faithful.

Box-to-box midfielder Joelinton has become a firm fan favourite at the Toon. The Brazilian is certainly not afraid to get stuck in for his side at any opportunity, having committed more fouls than anyone in the entire Premier League.
He also leads the way in the Premier League for yellow cards, having picked up a staggering twelve bookings to date. After conceding three fouls in Newcastle’s loss to Arsenal last weekend, he could be called into action again for this feisty affair.
