Everton v Brentford
Over 1.5 Goals
One of the reasons that I feel people like Brentford so much since they arrived in the Premier League is because their games are always entertaining. There’s only been under 1.5 goals in three of Brentford’s last 20 games – and we’re hoping to see the trend continue in this one.
Player to have 1+ Shots On Target – Ivan Toney
He’s already managed to get himself 15 in just 22 Premier League appearances this season, and is outperforming his overall xG. He’s hitting shots on target at a rate of 37%, and averaging more than one shot on target per game.
Leeds v Brighton
To Score or Assist – Kaoru Mitoma
An absolute revelation at the World Cup and he’s carried those performances all the way back to the south coast of England. The Japan international has worked his way into the starting 11 this season and there’s no looking back. The man wrote the book on dribbling (no, literally his college thesis was about dribbling) and in his 18 Premier League appearances has notched six goals and two assists (it’s eight goals and four assists if we look at all competitions).
He has a tendency to net in two consecutive games running based on his last few goalscoring runs, and he scored last week against West Ham, so…
Player to Commit 1+ Fouls – Pascal Struijk
Struijk has committed 25 fouls in just 20 Premier League appearances so far this season, and has found his way into the book on four occasions.
Chelsea need to win here. They are perched in 10th place, four points behind Brentford in the table. Luckily for the Blues, only Bournemouth and Forest have conceded more goals than Leicester this season. They can build on that midweek success over Dortmund.
Team to Receive the Most Cards – Chelsea
Chelsea not only sit in 10th place in the Premier League table but, but also have the 10th most cards given in the league this season, compared with Leicester who sit all the way down in 15th place – with 14 less bookings so far. For this reason, we’ve got to give Chelsea the edge here.
Tottenham v Nottingham Forest
Handicap Betting – Tottenham (-1)
As nice as it has been to see Forest back in the Prem this season, I don’t see them as a major threat to Tottenham in this fixture. They currently sit a respectable five points above the drop zone, but have conceded the second-most goals in the league, boasting a painful -24 goal difference. Spurs should win this and should definitely win by more than one.
Player To Be Shown a Card – Ryan Yates
Forest currently find themselves 5th in terms of cards dealt their direction this season. Yates has managed to get himself four yellows on the year so far, and we’d be inclined to believe he’ll get the fifth in this match. He’ll have a lot on his hands with all that Spurs have to offer, and we can see him finding his way into Craig Pawson’s book.
