Going into this game at Anfield, Liverpool really needed that result against Wolves because United are so full of confidence.
They went a goal down against West Ham in the Cup but you never really thought they were going to lose.
It shows you the change in mentality at that club since Erik ten Hag arrived. And he’s turned it around so fast too………….
They’ve already won the League Cup and are still challenging for a quadruple.
The players he brought in, especially Casemiro and Martinez, have set the tone. United looked too soft before they arrived.
I can see both being central in this game. Casemiro just never gives up and has got some goals this season, so could get at least a shot on goal.
Martinez has a real winner’s mentality and should be involved in stopping Liverpool’s forwards. I can see him making at least one foul, if not more.
The attitude they’ve brought in has rubbed off on other players too.
You have Rashford scoring now and De Gea looking back to his best, the likes of Shaw and Fred are looking really good too, Garnacho’s come into the team as well.
There are so many pluses for United now. t’ll be tough for Liverpool, even at Anfield.

They were torn apart by Madrid in Europe last week. I was at the game and in the second half they were shredded.
If you put that result to one side, Liverpool have started getting clean sheets again. They’ve had four straight in the league, they’ve beaten Wolves the other night, who have given them problems in the past.
Wins over Everton and Newcastle as well count for something, even if one of them has been struggling all season and the other had a man sent off.
But still feels like the jury is still out on where they are as a team. This United game will go some way to telling us how they’re shaping up for the run-in and if that Real Madrid dismantling can be taken in isolation.
I can see it being a close game but, even with my Liverpool sympathies, I’m worried.
It looks like Man United have the attitude and mentality that Liverpool had last season. They’re going for all these trophies and the West Ham game felt like a big win for me because they could’ve held on there, but United turned it around.
I think this probably the only time I’ll ever do it, but I have to fancy United to win given how both sides are playing.
They seem to have the ability to see out games, to hold on to leads, and even turn them around when they’re losing. They have always had it, but they do now.
It’ll be tight, but I can see both teams scoring and United just edge it at the end.
Marcus Rashford and Mo Salah are the likeliest scorers but it’ll be in midfield where the game is won or lost.
Bruno Fernandes could make the telling contribution for United with a goal himself or an assist for someone else.
