Nantes v Juventus – Juventus to Win
TV: BT Sport 3 (5:45pm)
As we’ve seen time and again this season, Juventus couldn’t kill off the game when they were leading. Despite having just one shot on goal, Nantes came away from the Juventus Stadium with a 1-1 draw. The hosts have won two, drawn two (winning one on penalties) and lost one over their last five games. On home turf they’ve won two, drawn two and lost one, scoring just three goals while conceding three as well.
The Old Lady have won four and drawn one over their last five fixtures and on their travels have won four and lost one, scoring eight goals and conceding five. There’s no doubt Juve are the better side here and should have won last week. With the fire power they have at their disposal and having a second shot at it here they should come out on top on the second attempt.
Monaco v Bayer Leverkusen – Over 3.5 Goals
TV: BT Sport Extra (5:45pm)
Monaco have defender Axel Disasi to thank for taking a 3-2 lead back to the Stade Louis II here. They’ve in strong form too, winning all of their last five fixtures. On home soil they’re also in good shape, winning four and drawing one (losing it on penalties), scoring 16 while conceding six.
Leverkusen have won just one and lost four over their last five, winning three and losing two of their last five on their travels, scoring eight while conceding seven. With both teams in good goal-scoring form and Over 3.5 goals landing in six of their last seven at home we see that trend continuing.
Midtjylland v Sporting – Over 2.5 Goals
TV: BT Sport Extra (5:45pm)
Former Liverpool and Sunderland defender Sebastian Coates saved Sporting’s blushes in last week’s first tie thanks to a 94th-minute leveller on home turf. The Portuguese side have won three, drawn one and lost one over their last five games while on the road also won three, drawn one and lost one, scoring eight and conceding six.
Midtjylland have won won two and drawn three of their last five, winning one on penalties over their last five while at home have won two, drawn two, winning one on penalties and lost one, scoring five and conceding three. The hosts have nothing to fear here and put seven past Lazio and Feyenord here in the Group Stage while Sporting have scored at least two in five of their last seven away fixtures. We’re looking at Over 2.5 Goals here.
Cluj v Lazio – Both Teams to Score
Lazio could only manage a 1-0 win over Cluj in last week’s first tie. Maurizio Sarri’s Eagles have won two, drawn one and lost two over their last five fixtures in all competitions while on their travels have won just two, drawing one and losing two, scoring six and conceding four.
Cluj have won two of their last five games, losing the other three, while at home have won two, drawn one and lost two, scoring seven and conceding five. Cluj beat both Maribor and Slavia Prague earlier in the competition and will be fired up here, Lazio should come out on top but it’s worth mentioning that Lazio have only kept three clean sheets over their last eight away games. Both Teams to Score has the value here.
