HAVEN’T A CLUE WHAT A BET BUILDER IS? WELL, LET OUR HANDY WHAT IS A BET BUILDER? GUIDE REVEAL ALL!
Manchester City drew at Nottingham Forest last weekend and it was a really poor result because they were on top the whole game. They missed a few chances and even Erling Haaland missed a sitter!
That’s been the story of their season in terms of being inconsistent and they haven’t been able to dominate every team or grind out results.
Leipzig have impressed this season and they’re fifth in the Bundesliga after their 3-0 win at Wolfsburg on Saturday.
The German side have an impressive home record and they’ve lost just once at home in the last five months, however, facing City is a completely different task. Here’s my Bet Builder!
RB Leipzig v Man City, Wednesday 8pm TV: BT Sport 1
Erling Haaland to Score Anytime
By his standards, Erling Haaland is out of form and he missed a couple of great chances in City’s draw at Forest last weekend.
However, he’s returning to Germany and he’ll be bang up for it on Wednesday night. Haaland to Score Anytime is an easy pick as he eyes his 33rd goal of the season in all competitions.
Ilkay Gundogan to Score or Assist
I’m also on Ilkay Gundogan to Score or Assist. With Kevin de Bruyne not playing, running the midfield could fall to the experienced German.
He’s always good for a late burst into the box to get onto the end of a cross, but can equally pop up with a key pass inside the box to feed a team-mate.
Next up is Riyad Mahrez to Have One or More Shots on Target. He was rested for City’s draw at Forest on Saturday so he’s fresh and ready to go against Leipzig.
He’s scored 11 goals this season and he averages just under two shots per game for City. I’m chancing that one of those goes on target.
Konrad Laimer to be Shown a Card
Finally, I’m backing Konrad Laimer to be Shown a Card.
The RB Leipzig midfielder has picked up four cards in his last ten games in the Bundesliga and he’s always pressing and putting challenges in.
He averages just under three tackles and two fouls per game for Leipzig so he’s a smart pick to get carded.
A previous version of this story included Kevin de Bruyne to score. Since publishing it’s been confirmed he won’t be playing, so Thommo has changed his selection. All prices are bang up to date with our snazzy widgets, while odds in copy are accurate at time of publishing but subject to change.
