Barcelona to win

Barcelona may have crashed out of the Champions League group stages for the second year running, but they are a different animal this time around. Xavi’s side have dropped just seven points in the league and are starting to build an unassailable lead at the top of La Liga.
They are unbeaten in 16 games in all competitions, winning 14 of those games. Manchester United, on the other hand, have undoubtedly made huge strides under Erik Ten Hag and are in a good place to secure Champions League football next season, while they are also well placed to win a trophy for the first time in six years.
However, United have been less convincing when playing away from Old Trafford. United have won six of their 12 away league games this season and won an away league game by more than a goal for the first time this campaign when they beat Leeds 2-0 on Sunday. Despite their obvious improvements, it’s hard to see them getting a result on Thursday evening so we’ll take Barcelona to Win.
Both teams to score
Barcelona have only conceded seven goals in the league all season at a rate of just one goal every three games. However, they conceded 12 goals in six games in the Champions League and conceded three times when they took on Real Madrid in the league.
Clearly, they struggle defensively against better teams and will struggle against a United side that has scored in each of their last 24 games in all competitions. United look capable of scoring against every opponent they come up against and should at least force Barcelona to score twice on Thursday so it’s Both Teams to Score.
Robert Lewandowski to Score Anytime
Robert Lewandowski is showing absolutely no signs of slowing down. The Polish striker has scored 23 goals in 27 games in all competitions for Barcelona this season and is by far the most likely player of either side to find the back of the net on Thursday.
Lewandowski has scored five goals in five games in Europe this season and will always rise to the big occasion. United, who have kept just one clean sheet in their last six league games, will have their work cut out preventing Lewandowski from Scoring Anytime on Thursday.
Marcus Rashford to Have 2 or More Shots on Target
Marcus Rashford has been a revelation since returning from the World Cup.
The English forward has scored eight goals in nine league appearances, while he has scored 12 goals in 15 games in all competitions. Rashford is well on his way to recording a season-best for United and will be their main outlet at the Nou Camp.
Rashford averages 2.8 shots per game this season and is by fair United’s biggest threat. He will lead the charge against Barcelona, who faced an average of 13 shots per game in the Champions League group stages. Rashford is good value to land two efforts on target on Thursday night.
Casemiro to be Shown a Card
Casemiro has been one of the best signings of the season, but his discipline has cost United in recent weeks. The Brazilian midfielder has missed three of the last four Premier League games through suspension and will serve the third game of his three-match ban when Leicester visit Old Trafford on Sunday.
His average of 1.8 fouls per game is the highest of any United player this season, which is saying something considering United boast one of the worst disciplinary records in the league. Playing against a technically excellent Barcelona midfield, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Casemiro pick up a card on Thursday evening.
