Most of the Last 16 Champions League qualification spots have already been decided but if there’s one thing teams on good runs hate it’s losing out to others and we should still see plenty of action in Tuesday night’s matches. We have Bayern taking on Inter in Group C with both already qualified, Liverpool face Napoli at Anfield and could, but won’t, take top spot in Group A.

In Group D, Marseille entertain Spurs where all four teams in the group can still qualify while, finally, Rangers take on Ajax and should they lose will be written into the annals as the worst-performance by a team in the Group Stages ever. All games kick off at 8pm, let’s find some value bets.

WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!

Bayern Munich v Inter – Bayern to Win & Over 2.5 Goals

TV: BT Sport Extra

Both teams come into this clash in flying form, the Bavarians have gone unbeaten over their last nine fixtures, winning eight and drawing one while at the Allianz Arena have also gone eight unbeaten, winning six and drawing two, winning all five of their most recently played fixtures on home soil, scoring an incredible 22 goals while conceding just two.

Inter have won six and drawn one of their last seven games in all competitions while on the road have won three, drawn one and lost one, scoring 12 and conceding 10. With both teams in such ripe goal-scoring form we should see goals but Bayern should be coming out on top here with that impressive home record; we’re backing Bayern to Win & Over 2.5 Goals.

Liverpool v Napoli – Both Teams to Score, No Draw

TV: BT Sport 3

Liverpool would need to win by six goals to wrestle top spot in Group A away from Napoli and the way Napoli have been playing this season compared to Liverpool there aren’t many people out there who would take that bet. Regardless, Liverpool’s yo-yo season continues, they’ve had good wins of late against Man City, West Ham and Ajax but lost to two of the Premier League’s bottom sides, Nottingham Forest and Leeds over the last two weeks. Their Anfield record is strong though, winning three, drawing one and losing one while over previous home Champions League games share the same record.

Napoli are in mighty form, they’ve won all 14 of their most recently played matches in all competitions and of their eight away games this season have won seven and drawn one, scoring 17 goals over their last five away games, conceding three. The away side should come out on top here but Champions League nights at Anfield are something special and the Reds will fancy their chances against a team that plays high up the pitch; we’re looking at both teams scoring here but we can’t see it ending level.

Marseille v Spurs – Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 Goals

TV: BT Sport 2

It’s very much evenly-poised in Group D, Spurs are top on eight points with both Sporting and Eintracht Frankfurt behind them on seven with Marseille in fourth on six points, so every team needs to win to be sure of advancing to the next round. It’s the English side who come into this clash in the better shape, Marseille have won just one of their last five fixtures in all competitions, drawing one and losing three and share the same results at the Velodrome with six goals scored and five conceded.

Antonio Conte will be watching this from the stands after his dismissal at the end of the Sporting game at home. His side have won two, drawn one and lost two of their last five games and on the road have won two, drawn one and lost one, scoring five and conceding seven. It’s very simple here; the winner takes all and we’re expecting goals. Thanks to that, we’re getting some good value here in backing both scoring and at least three goals with so much on the line.

Rangers v Ajax – Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 Goals

TV: BT Sport ESPN

Surely not wanting to be labelled as the worst-performing team in Champions League group stage history will be enough to spur on Rangers to go for broke here and try to take the three points. Ajax are already destined for the Europa League and while they don’t have to do much here they’ve pretty much got a clean bill of health but might rotate a few players thanks to yellow cards.

The home side have won three, drawn one and lost one of their last five fixtures while at Ibrox have also won three, drawn one and lost one, scoring 10 and conceding nine. Ajax have won three and lost two of their last five and on their away jaunts have won two and lost three, scoring 12 while conceding 11. With both teams scoring and conceding plenty of late we’re getting some nice value in a Both Teams to Score and Overs price here.
