Sunday 3.15pm: Real Madrid v Barcelona
TV: Premier Sports 1

Another El Clasico and we’ve looked deep into all of the stats for this fixture and found a four-fold Bet Builder that should wrap up our weekend very nicely. Let’s have a look at where we’ve found some value in the markets.

WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!

Robert Lewandowski to Score Anytime

What’s the deal with this guy? Many thought the former Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund striker might struggle in Spain but he looks like he’s in the form of his life and his two goals midweek were crucial to keeping Barcelona in with a shout of advancing to the next round of the Champions League.

Robert Lewandowski has nine goals in eight La Liga games this season as well as five in four in the Champions League; he’s also scored six goals over eight appearances against Real at his former clubs. With those stats his price to Score at Anytime screams value at us.

Vinicius Junior to Score or Assist

Vinicius Junior’s record so far against Barcelona has seen him net twice in nine appearances, and while that’s not too shabby we should really point out his form over this season and the last. So far this campaign he’s scored five over eight La Liga appearances and made one assist, scoring two and assisting one in the Champions League. Last season he scored a total of 22 goals and provided 16 assists across all competitions.

While he’s not as dangerous in front of goal as his teammate Karim Benzema, who will lead the line here on Sunday afternoon, he’s a player who has been consistently improving over recent seasons and this is the type of big game he relishes. We saw midweek how dangerous Barcelona are going forward but we also saw how calamitous they are at the back and his speed and eye for creating a goal could see him either scoring or assisting.

Over 9.5 Corners

In addition for a few goals we should see plenty of corners in this match. Barcelona have had at least 9.5 Corners in all four of their most recent games while it’s clicked in three of Real Madrid’s last four, with only the 1-0 win over Getafe falling short of our benchmark.

These two don’t face sides as good as each other every week of course but with the attacking talent on display we can still expect both to notch a few. Barca have conceded 12 in their last two while it’s 10 for Real over the same number so these two are giving them away as well as racking them up. Over 9.5 Corners is a really appealing price.

Sergio Busquets to be Shown a Card

Sergio Busquets has a bit of a reputation for playing dirty and the stats show he’s picked up 121 Yellow Cards over 457 La Liga appearances for the Catalans, that’s an average of one card per 3.77 games. Now, that’s not as filthy as his former Real adversary Casemiro or the Brazilian’s new team-mate at Man United Scott McTominay, he’s a wily lad is Sergio. He’s happy to take a booking but he rarely, only twice indeed, has received a second booking in a match.

Against Real he’s picked up 12 yellows and one red over 43 appearances and this season has so far collected eight yellow cards over his nine appearances for Barcelona in La Liga and the Champions League. Real are going to enjoy long spells of controlling the ball in the centre of the park and it’s going to be up to Busquets to take the odd Madridista to the floor to break up their attacks.
