Erik ten Hag’s Red Devils have, so far, responded positively following defeats and will surely get back to winning ways away to Omonia Nicosia in the Europa League on Thursday night.

Following Manchester United’s 4-0 defeat away to Brentofrd in mid-August the Red Devils replied with a 2-1 win over last year’s Premier League runners-up Liverpool. They won all three of their following games before losing to Real Sociedad at home but again replied with a win away to Sheriff Tiraspol. Again, they lost to Manchester City at the weekend and again you’d have to expect Erik ten Hag’s team to win here.
They’ve been better solid in front of goal too, scoring nine goals over their last five fixtures and seven over their last five on their travels. Omonia have conceded five already over their two Europa League games but they’ve a decent record on home soil, winning three and losing one of their four games this season, scoring nine and conceding five. United will be out for blood here to get that humiliating defeat to the Citizens out of their system and with their scoring record combined with the host’s we see the goals raining in here. Brazilian midfielder Antony has kept his impressive Ajax form going since signing for United, he scored one in two appearances for Ajax before signing this season as well as eight in 23 last season. For the travelling side he’s so far netted two in his two starts for in the Premier League. He’s failed to find the back of the net in his two Europa League appearances so far but he has looked sharp and eager to cause problems for opposition defences. We’re backing Antony to Score Anytime.

United are still in the midst of throwing off their basketcase-ness. When they’re good they’ve been showing flashes of brilliance but when they’re back they’ve reverted to what we’ve become used to over previous seasons; dropping their shoulders, giving away the ball too easily and playing the wrong pass all too often.
Saying that, United will react here, this is what they’ve done under ten Hag’s stewardship, if they play badly in a game they’ll put it right in the next one. Manchester United are currently ranked in 10th place in the UEFA club coefficients, Cyprus’ Nicosia Omonia are way down the list at 168th.
Of course, the home side are going to rise their game here, it’s not often a name a big as Man United comes to play in Cyprus but they’ll have more then enough to take the three points here and we see this ending 0-2, 2-1, 3-0 so we’re backing the visitors to win by at least two goals with Manchester United (-1) in the handicaps.

Not only is the plucky Scott McTominay keeping former Real Madrid hardman Casemiro out of the Man United starting XI, he’s also just making moves to take his crown in the Yellow Cards department. Casemiro collected a scandalous 15 yellow cards last season for club and country (missing a few games through injury).
McTominay gathered nine in 30 Premier League appearances last campaign and he’s almost halfway there to achieving the same numbers this season after just seven games with four in seven in the league as well as two for Scotland in the Nations League.
