Liverpool were all over the place in their 3-3 draw at home to Brighton & Hove Albion over the weekend. Fighting from 0-2 down after just 17 minutes, the Reds clawed their way back into the game, going ahead just after the hour but their defensive problems became evident yet again when Leandro Trossard clinched a deserved draw with his hat-trick goal on the 83rd minute.

This is a massive game. It’s going to whet everybody’s appetite in the UK. Liverpool versus Rangers, it’s going to be massive. But 3-3 against Brighton at the weekend for Liverpool? It’s good to be scoring three goals at home but conceding three is really damaging and it could’ve been more. Rangers are fresh after beating Hearts 0-4 at the weekend but they really need something here, they’ve lost to Napoli and Ajax; 3-0, 4-0 so they need points quickly.
Do they attack? As we’ve seen in their other games they’ve gone forward and got punished. Do they defend deep and not come out? It’s going to be a very difficult task at Anfield.
Liverpool, in their last game getting that last minute goal to beat Ajax, it was wonderful. I am, quite obviously, going for a Liverpool win and I see them winning by two here.
Mo Salah to Score Anytime
He’s not looked at it recently I must admit but there’s always the possibility of a penalty in this which, of course, Mo will take. I do fancy him to get back at it here, he will be absolutely desperate to score a goal.

Liverpool’s defence isn’t nearly as sturdy as it once was and they’ve conceded in four of their last five at Anfield and in three of their last five at home in the Champions League. Rangers too have scored six goals in their last two games and seven over their last five on the road so I can certainly see both teams scoring here.
Over 3.5 Goals
As above really, while Liverpool aren’t performing at their maximum yet they’re still pretty lethal in front of goal especially at Anfield where they’ve scored 17 times over their last five games. There’s going to be plenty of action here and with plenty of goals that will pay dividends.
