Monday 8pm: Leicester v Nottingham Forest
TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League

Leicester to Win

Anything other than a Leicester win on Monday night and Brendan Rodgers will surely be the next Premier League manager to leave his post.

The Foxes have endured a nightmare start to the season, picking up just one point from their opening seven games and losing six on the bounce since an opening-day draw at home to Brentford.

They have conceded the most goals in the league and currently sit five points off safety.

Defeat to Forest on Monday night would be by far the biggest blow of Leicester’s season so far given how badly Forest have struggled in recent games.

Forest have lost four games on the bounce since a draw at Everton in August, conceding 14 goals in the process.

They have thrown away home leads against Bournemouth and Fulham, losing both games 3-2 and look in real trouble even at this early stage of the season.

This is the perfect opportunity for Leicester to get their first win of the season and ease some of the pressure on Rodgers.

Both Teams to Score

Leicester and Forest boast the two worst defensive records in the league by far.

Rodgers’ side have conceded the most goals in the division, letting in a staggering 22 goals in their opening seven games. They have yet to keep a clean sheet, while their 1-0 defeat to Manchester United was the only time this season that they have managed to concede fewer than two goals in a game.

Leicester, however, have scored a relatively impressive 10 goals so far this season, only failing to score in that United defeat. They have scored two goals in four separate games and should fancy themselves against a porous Forest defence.

Steve Cooper’s side have conceded in all but one of their seven games this season, with their one clean sheet coming in a game against West Ham that saw their opponents hit the bar twice and miss a penalty.

They have conceded in every away game they have played since their return to their Premier League in August, and it would be hugely surprising if they managed a clean sheet on Monday night.

Joe Worrall to be Shown a Card

It has not been a debut season to remember for Joe Worrall, who has been the lynchpin of a leaky Forest defence.

Worrall has been booked three times in six starts this season, the joint-most of any Forest player along with Scott McKenna.

He has also committed 10 fouls at a rate of almost two per game, the most of any Forest player this season.

He is good value to collect his fourth booking of the season against a lively Leicester attack on Monday night.

Jonny Evans to Attempt 90 or More Passes

Jonny Evans has been Leicester’s top passer this season.

The Northern Irish centre back has attempted 538 passes in seven appearances at a rate of 77 per game. He has completed 485 of those passes, giving him a pass completion rate of 90%.

His stats are all the more impressive considering Leicester have played a number of games where possession has essentially been 50/50.

He is likely to see even more of the ball against a Forest side with an average of 43% possession this season.

Forest have recorded 40% possession or less on three occasions this season and it would be unsurprising if they managed the feat for a fourth time on Monday, giving Evans every chance of breaching the 90-pass landmark.
