One of the most exciting Premier League finales awaits with a whole host of issues to be resolved on Sunday.
The top-quality title battle between Manchester City and Liverpool goes down to the wire, European qualification spots need to be confirmed, while the final relegation place will be filled by either Burnley or Leeds.
WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!
All 20 Premier League teams are in action at the same time on Sunday, with the final round of fixtures kicking off at 4pm.
We’ve detailed all the Premier League permutations ahead of the final day of the season below.
Premier League Title
Man City v Aston Villa
Liverpool v Wolves
You don’t need to be a genius to work out the situation at the top of the table. Manchester City will retain the Premier League title if they beat Steven Gerrard’s Aston Villa at the Etihad Stadium.
If City fail to pick up all three points against Gerrard’s team then the door opens for Liverpool to snatch back the crown but the Reds must win at home to Wolves to stand any chance of ending the season as champions.
The only scenario in which a draw would be good enough for Liverpool is if Manchester City lose to Aston Villa by at least a seven-goal margin, which would go down as the greatest bottle job in the history of football.
Top 4
Norwich v Tottenham
Arsenal v Everton
Victory over Tottenham last week would have secured fourth for Arsenal but it’s their north London rivals who now find themselves in pole position to clinch a spot in next season’s Champions League.
As long as they avoid defeat at relegated Norwich on the last day of the season, Antonio Conte’s side will be celebrating a top-four finish at the final whistle.
Arsenal need to pick up all three points at home to Everton and are relying on Tottenham losing at Carrow Road. The Gunners need a miracle…
6th Place
Crystal Palace v Man Utd
Brighton v West Ham
Manchester United and West Ham fans already know they’ll be digging out their passports next season but which competition will their clubs be playing in? That’s the big question.
The Red Devils currently sit in the Europa League qualification spot and can guarantee sixth place if they win at Crystal Palace.
If they fail to leave Selhurst Park with all three points then West Ham can upgrade from the Europa Conference League with a victory at Brighton.
Relegation
Burnley v Newcastle
Brentford v Leeds
A rollercoaster afternoon is in store at the bottom of the table but one thing is guaranteed – television cameras catching grown men in tears as their team drops out of the top flight. It’s advantage Burnley on goal difference after a 1-1 draw at Aston Villa on Thursday saw them join Leeds on 35 points.
A victory for Burnley over the world’s richest club at Turf Moor will guarantee the Clarets another season in the Premier League. It’s that simple.
Leeds’ future is out of their own hands because they’ve conceded an absolute lorryload of goals this campaign so they need to better Burnley’s result.
Top Goalscorer
Mohamed Salah – 22 Goals
Son Heung-Min – 21 Goals
The Premier League Golden Boot is going to either Mohamed Salah or Son Heung-Min as their nearest competitor, Cristiano Ronaldo, only has 18 goals for the campaign.
Salah, who won the prize in 2018 and 2019, is a doubt for Liverpool’s home clash against Wolves after suffering a groin injury in last weekend’s FA Cup final.
Son, meanwhile, has four goals in his last four appearances and will surely be licking his lips at facing Norwich, who have conceded a whopping 79 goals this term.
