Sunday’s main event sees Arsenal travel to West Ham fresh off a resounding 3-1 win over Manchester United last weekend. In contrast, The Hammers suffered a disappointing 2-1 loss to Frankfurt in the first leg of their Europa League semi final on Thursday.
The Gunners have their eyes firmly on a Champions League spot here, though, and a win would keep the pressure on Spurs who are two points and one place behind them in 5th. West Ham need a win to go above the hapless Manchester United in 6th. Which way will this go? Here’s Thommo’s West Ham v Arsenal tips.
TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League
I don’t think Arsenal are going to win this. It’s a difficult one but West Ham are at home in front of a packed London Stadium and it’s going to be absolutely chockablock!
West Ham are unbeaten in their last eight Premier League games at home, I know they lost to Frankfurt in midweek but I do fancy Both Teams to Score in this. Arsenal have won their last two in the Premier League, scoring seven, but they’d lost three in a row prior to that.
The form is not great for both sides but Arsenal have kept 13 clean sheets so I don’t think it’s going to be a goal fest. West Ham and Liverpool are the only two sides who have scored in every home game so I am going for Both Teams To Score in this and, if you want a goals scorer, because Bukayo Saka takes the penalties for Arsenal, I’ll go with Saka to Score Anytime.
