Fresh off another stellar midweek’s Champions League tipping action, Paddy Power ambassador Phil Thompson returns to Premier League duty this weekend. And kicking us off on Friday night is a game that could have big ramifications at the top and bottom of the table.
WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!
It’s Newcastle v Wolves in what could be a very entertaining clash. The Toon have gone off the boil of late while Wolves are still in the hunt for the European places. Who’s coming out on top here? It’s time for Thommo’s Newcastle v Wolves tips.
Friday 8pm: Newcastle v Wolves
TV: Sky Sports Premier League
Going back a couple of weeks ago I would have probably had to come down, because of home advantage, with Newcastle. But, just in the last couple of weeks, maybe they feel as though they’ve done enough.
They are seven points clear of the bottom three but they’ve lost their last three games. With that comes a loss of confidence and I think that’s where Wolves have got the edge because they’ve won five of the last seven away Premier League games.
They don’t concede a lot. They’ve only conceded 11 away goals. There’s only Manchester City and Chelsea who’ve got a better record in that field. As you can see they know how to defend. I’m going for Wolves to Win this one.
I do see it being tight but I fancy Wolves to win 2-1. I quite like this guy, it’s Daniel Podence to Score Anytime. He’s quick, he’s got a trick in him. I do think he’ll be on the score sheet.
