WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS

Inter are going well in Serie A and have lost just one of their last 11. The cavalry has returned for Liverpool and they’ll be confident of taking something pretty handy back to Anfield. Thommo is, as ever, confident about the Kop’s chances so let’s take a look at his Inter Milan v Liverpool tips.

8pm: Inter v Liverpool

TV: BT Sport 2 and BT Sport Ultimate

The Burnley game was a case of winning ugly and, as Jurgen Klopp said, it was a banana skin. That’s how I always look at those games. It was so windy, it was so wet and it was so cold but Liverpool handled it very well. They’ve only lost two of the last 46 in all competitions which is incredible.

I think they’ve won six on the trot in all competitions so things are going well. What do we make of Inter? They drew at the weekend with Napoli who are sitting 3rd in Serie A. Inter are 2nd. They’re just behind AC Milan by one point but have a game in hand and they’ve only lost two games all season.

They’ve had just one defeat in their last 11 in all competitions and that was against AC Milan so they’re not a bad side. Is Italian football as strong as it has been? I am going for a slight Liverpool Win.

But, because of the crowd, which is diminished to only 50% because of Covid, I do go for Liverpool to Win this, but only slightly. I’m going 2-1 to Liverpool. I do think we’ll see Both Teams to Score because it’s in San Siro.

I’m going to go for Diogo Jota to Score Anytime. I know he didn’t play against Burnley but he’s played a lot of games because of Sadio Mane and Mo Salah being away. I think Klopp rested him to have him ready for this one. I wouldn’t be surprised if he plays instead of Bobby Firmino. He’s in absolutely fantastic goal-scoring form so Diogo Jota to Score Anytime.
