7pm: Vitesse Arnhem v PSV Eindhoven – PSV Win & BTTS

TV: Mola TV

We’ll kick off in the Eredivisie where Vitesse Arnhem host PSV Eindhoven. PSV are second but their title hopes have taken a number of dents in recent weeks as they’ve lost the last two, including against leaders Ajax who now have a five-point cushion at the top.

It means this match against 6th-placed Vitesse is must win if they’re to try and keep pace with the Amsterdam club who have a goal difference that is 38 (THIRTY EIGHT) better than them. Vitesse have also lost their last two, though not against the caliber of opponents that the away side here have.

PSV are Paddy’s favourites and despite their recent wobble I think that’s fair. I think there’s value in adding Both Teams to Score to the PSV Win selection. PSV should win but they’ve conceded in seven of their last nine in all competitions. Vitesse are handy up front and will fancy their chances of netting at least once for the eighth time in their last nine games.

7.45pm: Torino v Venezia – Torino and Over 2.5 Goals

TV: BT Sport 1

Off to Serie A next for Torino v Venezia and a 10th v 18th clash. Venezia are putting up a good fight in trying to retain their top-flight status but occupy the final relegation spot and are in bad form while Cagliari, now two points and one place clear of them, have started picking up results.

Torino are pottering along and might hold faint European hopes but they’re seven points behind Lazio who are 6th. Their recent form reflects exactly their midtable status, as does Venezia’s as relegation battlers. Our away side here have no win in 10 and just three draws in that run.

Torino have won two of their last five, drawn one and lost two but they’re lethal at home and have the 3rd best record in the division in that respect. We have to be on a home win and we can add some value adding Over 2.5 Goals into the mix. Over 2.5 Goals has clicked in six of their last eight at Olympic Grande Torino.

8pm: Atletico Madrid v Getafe – Over 2.5 Goals

TV: LaLigaTV

Atletico Madrid have been far from the rock-solid 1-0 merchants of old and have been a all over the place this season. Their trademark resilience at the back as deserted them and they’ve now got just the 12th-best backline in the league.

The defending champions are 5th in La Liga and take on 15th-placed Getafe tonight. Shockingly for Atleti, Getafe have shipped seven fewer goals than they have this term. Our away side are on the improve and have lost just one of their last six, winning four and drawing one.

Atletico have lost three of their last four and won the other. What to make of this then? On reputation and quality this should be a routine home win and Getafe have the 4th worst away record in the division with just five points from 11 games. And, still…

I have a nagging feeling Getafe might get something out of this but their away form is putting me off and Atletico are way too short to back on current form. Instead I’ll side with their enjoyable madness to continue and Over 2.5 Goals. It’s clicked in five of their last six and two of Getafe’s last three.

8pm: Lyon v Nice – Under 2.5 Goals

TV: BT Sport 2

We finish in France where Lyon in 8th welcome 3rd-placed Nice to the Groupama. Another tricky clash here where Ligue 1’s best away side take on one with the 5th-best home record.

Both lost their last league assignment after racking up decent winning streaks, Lyon with three on the bounce and Nice five prior to last weekend. Again I’m happy to sit on the fence and let the numbers guide me with an Overs/Unders pick.

I’m going with Under 2.5 Goals in this one. Unders has landed in six of the home side’s last seven and in the odd one out there were just three goals. For Nice, Overs had been landing regularly but we’ve had Unders in their last two. I’m backing Lyon’s form in this regard to hold on home soil.
