Tottenham and Brighton meet in the FA Cup 4th Round on Saturday night in what could be a juicy clash. Both sides are in decent form but draws continue to haunt the Seagulls. Maybe the switch to cup football can inspire them to just their third win in 19 games?

WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!

It will be tough, though, as Spurs are in decent shape themselves under Antonio Conte. Paddy’s football ambassador Phil Thompson is here to try and solve the mystery, so how does he see this one going? Here’s his Tottenham v Brighton tips.

Saturday 8pm: Tottenham v Brighton

TV: ITV4 and ITV Hub

When I was looking at my stats and everything with Spurs, I don’t know how to take this Spurs side, or this Antonio Conte side. Has he done well with them because they’ve kept clean sheets? They have five clean sheets in 10 games under Conte.

Are they, maybe, masking flaws and they’re not as good as we’re making out? They had difficulties getting players in in the transfer window, I just don’t know. They’ve won six of the last nine Premier League games and you go, is that right?

It just confuses you. Are they really having a good time? They’ve moved up in the league but still I feel that they’re flakey. The Leicester game masks it a little bit because they obviously scored to late on, two goals in injury time which was absolutely fascinating as a football match.

They got out of jail and everybody’s happy, so it is a difficult one. Brighton are similar. They’ve scored so many late goals and got out of jail a lot of the time. Is that good or is it masking over the fact they’re not as good as they make out?

This one’s a little bit difficult. I am going to come out for Spurs to Win but I think it will be tight. I do fancy Both Teams to Score in This.

I’m going for Harry Kane to Score Anytime so hopefully that’ll get us off to a good Saturday night. It should be a good game and hopefully some good bets for the punters! I don’t think there’ll be a lot in it, I’ll go 2-1 to Spurs.
