Paddy Power ambassador Phil Thompson’s lacing up his tipping boots ahead of Sunday’s late game in the FA Cup. We’ve had an absolute barrage of cup football this weekend and Sunday evening is no different.
This time it’s Nottingham Forest v Arsenal and a meeting of two clubs who had been in good form but suffered defeat last time out. The Gunners have a great record in the cup but can the resurgent Forest knock them out at the first step? Let’s see what Thommo thinks.
I think after that defeat against Manchester City where Arsenal played so well they shouldn’t feel too demoralised because of the performance side of it. Mikel Arteta’s probably back on the touchline for this one too.
It’s similar with Steve Cooper at Nottingham Forest, he’s turned them around really well. But they’ve lost their last two, so it’s whether he is preferring to get a promotion for Forest. They were on the up until very recently.
This Arsenal side have turned things around. They’ve only been eliminated once in the last 25 years at this stage of the FA Cup – although that was at the City Ground against Forest a few years back!
But they’ve got a good pedigree at the 3rd round, and as you can imagine, I’m coming down on the side of Arsenal in this one. I think in the end it will be comfortable but I do fancy Steve Cooper’s side to get one so Both Teams to Score. I’m going for 3-1 to Arsenal. This is one of the best of the weekend for me.
If you’re looking for a scorer, check the team sheets, but Bukayo Saka, who I think is having a really good season and is in great form, could be the one. I’ll go with Bukayo Saka to Score Anytime.
