Paddy Power ambassador Phil Thompson is back once again to run the rule over this weekend’s biggest games in the Premier League, with his attention on Saturday’s late kick off which sees Brighton host Newcastle.
NEW TO PADDY POWER?
Brighton have impressed under Graham Potter and find themselves eighth in the Premier League. Newcastle, meanwhile, are yet to win this season and are currently 19th. So, who does Thommo think is coming out on top in this one?
Saturday 5:30pm: Brighton v Newcastle
TV info: BT Sport 1
Brighton are without a win in five but they’ve drawn four of them, which proves they’re hard to beat. It’s also worth noting they’ve played Man City and Liverpool in that run.
They impressed at Anfield last weekend in their 2-2 draw and I’m a big fan of Brighton, they’re a solid team and they play some great stuff.
Newcastle are having a torrid time and they need a manager to come in sooner rather than later. The Toon have played 10 Premier League games and they’re still looking for their first win.
I can’t see past a Brighton win and I don’t see Newcastle causing Graham Potter’s side many problems. I fancy Brighton to Win to Nil and Leandro Trossard to Score Anytime.
